Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
Wow! We all loved this, and loved the lime flavor so much that we squeezed lime onto everything on our plate! Will definitely make this on a regular basis, but probably cut the butter because it really didn't make a sauce, just a greace over the chicken, which of course was tastey, but not healthy! Thanks for the great recipe!

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Oh my my, this is wonderful! Even before it was cooked I couldnt stop eating it! Listened to other reviewers and only left the granola in for the time recommended even though it didn't appear done. It crunches up as it cools and is absolutely fabulous!

Rubbed and Grilled Pork Loin

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
The best grilled pork ever! I sliced the pork first, and then rubbed all over each peice (not excessively), so it would be more flavorful and cook faster, and it tasted absolutely fabulous!

Steam-Grilled Green Onions

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
This works very well! We have been making this for a few years now, but it was nice to find the exact recipe so they turn out perfect every time. Of course we will be using this again, thank you!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
Best cauliflower I've ever had! Used grated irish dubliner cheese instead of parmesian and topped with crushed onion flavored saltines. Deliciious! Alot of extra fat and calories than our usual steamed veggies so will save this recipe for company, but a definate keeper! Thanks!

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
Wow!!! Love these! I have long since sworn off those wrapped caramels for this site's "Chewy Caramel" recipe, which I just happened to have a bunch of in the freezer and they made this recipe absolutely decadent! Will make again for sure!

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
Very good! I made another recipe very similar to these a few days ago and I'd say they're about equal! I love them with chocolate/raspberry swirled baking chips on top!

Raspberry Squares for Junior Chefs

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
These are good, and adding chocolate/rasberry swirled baking chips on top made them delicious! My only note is that I think 1 cup of rasberry jam is way too much. When trying to press the top layer over the jam, it was oozing all over the place (and I did it Very carefully!) so I ended up scooping off about 1/3 cup of jam, and it was still very difficult to get the top layer even. My junior chef loved helping me make these and I"m sure I'll be making them again! Oh and if you're wondering, I used regular oats instead of quick and they worked fine. They baked for about 10 mins longer but not sure if that was the oats change or a recipe error.

Eclair Cake

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
We all enjoyed this. I melted the icing in the microwave, thinned it a tiny bit with milk and poured 1/3 in the middle layer, and the rest on top. If I make this again, I think I will make a homemade chocolate ganache instead of the pre-packaged icing. This was totally different than anything I've had before so thanks for the recipe, will probably make again with a few tweeks.

Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
Pretty good, but the recipe as is, could use a bit more flavor, in my opinion. I added crushed garlic and onion powder to the filling, and it could've used more salt. Also, not rating the recipe based on this because I know it depends on the peppers, but mine weren't hot at all and definately could've used some kick in the filling (and that's coming from a person who thinks mild sauce is too hot!) I will definately make these again, only adding some more flavor next time.

Easy No Bake Cookies

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
My husband and daughter made these cookies last night and they are so yummy! Just like my grandma makes! We used old fashioned oats like others suggested, and wanted to make them lower fat so only used half as much butter and they turned out very nice! Our only complaint is that they are a bit too sweet, next time we'll try using less sugar too, but not quite sure if that will work out as well.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
Very yummy and a fun twist to regular fruit salad. The key is to cut the fruit very finely. I used my pampered chef slicer to help get the apples super small and uniform. Mango was yummy in it too. I must say that it is really just a fine fruit salad so I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about, but I'm sure I will make it again because it is something different, Thanks!

Fruity-Punchy

Very yummy. It is just a Bay Breeze with the addition of coconut rum. For more fruit-punchy flavor, add a half ounce of grenadine.

Spinach Cheddar Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
Making some revisions based on people's reviews, these are fabulous!!! For the dryness that everyone spoke of, I added two extra tablespoons of butter, extra cheese, and cooked for ten minutes less than suggested. For the blandness that was mentioned, I added 1/4 tsp of garlic salt and 1/4 tsp of onion powder and 1/4 cup of freshly grated dubliner cheese (like a sweet, bold paremsian cheese). Pair with a nice fruit salad and it would be a perfect brunch, will definately make again. Thanks for the new recipe!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
With all the buzz about cake balls I thought I'd better try it out. Wow this was alot of work and wasn't what I was expecting. I thought they would be more of a cake dessert but instead they were more of a cheap-tasting truffle. I made a similar recipe to this one at the same time as this one, and I definately prefer the other one better. It was with 1 1/2 cups of flavored liquid coffee creamer instead of the icing - more rich, but still just wet cake. For this much effort, next time I'll just make real truffles or some other kind of chocolate candies. Glad I tried it and know now though, just not my thing.
