Mexican Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
Pretty good and very easy. If I make this again I will try adding some black beans to the corn and maybe chopped bell peppers to the meat, I also won't omit the cheese and olives (it did say optional:). Thanks for the interesting recipe!

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
MAKE THIS!!! Fabulous! Only used 1 tbsp of oil for lower fat and didn't even notice!!! I've always been a three been salad fan and was sure it couldn't get any better than that, but this is the best bean salad I've ever had! Will make again and again, thanks so much for the recipe!

Seafood Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Good but plain. After tasting it I added some cajun seasoning and a new spice mix in my spice rack called chef's essence... kinda like old bay maybe? It tasted much better after doctoring it.

Limeade

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
Not a great recipe. I ended up using 6 big juicy limes to one cup sugar for 2 quarts of water. It just really depends on the juiciness of the fruit. If this had an exact measured amount of lime juice it would come out perfect every time. But it's not that hard to make limeade, just taste as you go along, it'll be great!

Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
These are wonderful! Be warned though, they are more of a peach cobbler muffin than a healthy breakfast fruit muffin. These are so yummy though and as other reviewers mentioned, would be good with a number of fruits!

Banana Tortilla Snacks

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
This was yummy! Didn't like the raisins in it though, too chewy, so picked those out, and ended up slicing the bananas and folding the tortilla over as GodivaGirl suggested, it was much more toddler friendly that way. Great idea for a snack and will make this again and again. Thanks!

Puppy Chow

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
Used Kix cereal instead and we loved this! The kix even makes it look like real puppy chow :) So quick to make, will definately be making again!

Mushroom Burger Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
It's a very yummy "soup". I was just a tad disappointed because it's not what the name says. I was looking forward to a "stew" that resembled the flavors of a mushroom burger. It's good, but it's just a vegetable/ground beef soup.

Three Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
Wonderful! My mom makes this all the time, and I didn't want to bother her for the recipe (yet again!). So I used this recipe, and this is the stuff! We all loved it! Just one caution, don't make a double batch unless you have a football team to feed!! I have no idea what I'm going to do with all this salad!

Spaghetti Pizza I

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
My kids definately did love this, so that's always a plus, but for the hubby and I, it was nothing to write home about. It was just too much like plain spaghetti with pepperoni on top, maybe it needs another egg? some parm cheese with the noodles? If pepperoni is ever on sale really cheap again, then I might make this, but wouldn't go out of my way to make it again. Always nice to try a new dinner though! Thank you!

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
The flavor was awesome and my kids ate this up like nothing I've ever cooked before! But, I wasn't a huge fan of the pile of grease in the bottom of the dish or the sogginess of the bread crumbs. Next time I make this, after we've eaten much healthier all week, I will broil for the last couple minutes of cooking.

Main Dish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
This was a nice refreshing summer salad. It's very basic and simple and would work with different meats, cheeses and veggies. Thanks for the recipe, will make again!

Goal-Line Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
Very good flavor. I like this recipe because it uses kitchen staples that we almost always have on hand. The only thing I changed was I used finely chopped orange bell peppers instead of the apple because I was out, and it was great. 4 1/2 cups of chicken seems like way too much to me, but I guess it depends on how you chop it. I chopped mine pretty small for a sandwich and 2 cups was plenty (about 4 breasts). Will make this again for sure!

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2008
I really want to say that we loooved them like everyone else, but we didn't... I followed the recipe exactly and judging by all the 5 stars, it must've been something I did, but don't know what! They were very bread-ish, and not so fluffy/melt-in-your mouth like Kispy Kreme. Actually without the glaze, they taste exactly like the sweet rolls you get at Roadhouse! It was alot of work so if I'm ever having a craving for Krispy Kreme, I think I'll just go there :)

This was great, but next time I will use a little less mayo, much less salt and much more curry!

Yum! Made it into a bundt, added chocolate chips, topped with chocolate glaze, and now I call it "chocolate chip cookie bread"!

Chocolate Glaze II

an extra tablespoon of butter like everyone else said and this worked lovely! I only used half the recipe, if you would like it to cover the entire cake, a whole batch will work very nicely

Corn Dog Casserole

This was good. Even my very picky 15 month old son, who will only eat strawberries for every meal, loved this so you know we'll be making it again every once in a while.

Banoffee Pavlova

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Amazing!!! This was my first experience with pavlova, and before I tried it I thought that the meringue part would be just kind of tasteless, but to those of you who don't know like I didn't, it is a rich, warm, toasty, delicious flavor! Combined with the caramel and bananas, it becomes something absolutely fabulous that is sure to impress all guests! I just made this for my family today, but next time we have guests over, I am making this! Thanks Trish, love it!

Peachy Chicken

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
I just whipped up a small portion of this in the skillet for lunch. Judging by the smell of it while it was cooking, I really thought I would hate it, but I was so surprised! The flavor of the chicken was very nice and subtle, and a bite of a hot peach by itself is gross, but with the chicken it is amazing... Mine definately isn't as pretty as the picture (I'll be posting a picture) but that's probably because of the skillet. I'd make this again, and next time in the oven like I was supposed to. Thanks for the new recipe! N*R
