Old Bay® Shrimp Fest

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
We enjoyed this and man was it easy! I used peeled shrimp and frozen corn and everything turned out perfectly. Definately not underseasoned with the shrimp being pre-peeled, in fact almost a little too spicey for the kids. Only made a quarter batch with a little extra corn and potatoes and it was plenty for my family of four! Only four stars becuase it was yummy and something I'd make again, but nothing super special.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Perfect! I didn't want to make a heavy soup with cream or cream cheese so this recipe fit the bill. My family all loved it! Added an apple and some apple juice for the perfect touch! Thanks!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Great! I've made this several times. I use a butter cookie crust because I don't care for graham, and mix the two layers instead of separate. Great!

Colorful and Edible Play Dough

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
This was super easy to make and the kids had fun making it and playing with it, but if edible means that you won't die by eating a little bit then sure, edible... but EW - this stuff is definately not meant to be eaten!! I'm pretty sure store bought play dough tastes better than this stuff! Great recipe for fun but the word "edible" threw me off quite a bit.

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
The texture of these were fabulous, but we found that the bitterness of the baking powder and the sourness of the blueberries were overwhelming. I added more sugar and the next ones out of the pan turned out great. Will make these again with some tweaks. Thanks!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
Excellent. I love how it smoothes itself out after you spread it, and yet it doesn't run where you don't want it to go. Will make this my go-to recipe for sugar cookie icing, thank you!

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
This was good. I wanted a little more depth in flavor so I used fresh mushrooms sauteed with a diced onion and crushed garlic and it was excellent. Thanks for the new recipe!

Chinese Turkey Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
This was very good. I still felt it needed something so I added some garlic powder and black pepper. I also loved the suggestion of using chow mein noodles instead of cashews, made it much more kid friendly.

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
These were excellent! I crushed my candy canes in the mini processor so they were like powder and folded them into the meringue instead of on top, which gave a lovely peppermint taste all through them. I also added a few drop of food coloring to make them pink for valentines day. Will definately make these again, thanks!

This really was great! The first time I made it as is, and the second I added a tsp vanilla and 1/4 tsp banana extract just for a little more oomph.
