Corn and Chicken Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
Good basic recipe to build off of and change to your taste. Skipped the bacon(dieting) Used broth in place of the water and used 1% milk and cornstarch instead of the flour. Used less corn, Really thick soup, not much broth but had good flavor and hubby enjoyed it.

Beef and Irish Stout Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
Great Recipe! Made it with beef broth since I could not get out to get a beer and it still came out great. Added some celery and bay leaves but otherwise I left the recipe alone. Served over champ,Delish. Even my hubby that normally does not like stews liked this one.

I found the mint way overpowering. Hubby liked them but would not ask me to make them again.

Singapore Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
not what I expected. A little bland seems to be missing something but can't figure it out. Some greens of some sort would help it and it was very dry

made this as part of my cajun thanksgiving. Worked well with the fried turkey but was nothing we would make again. Made a TON! Threw out half of it.

These were good but agree not a true tandoori flavor. I ended up grilling mine and they were very tender

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
Mine did not set properly. I have cooked pecan pie in the past and they were great. Also the bourbon taste is very strong so would cut back on that.

Naan

Absolutely wonderful! Can not wait to make it again. Uses less flower than stated and did not seem to rise as much as the recipe led me to expect but still just a great recipe.

Vegetarian Korma

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
This was great!!! Forgot to seed my jalapeno so was a tad to spicy. Added more onion just cause I love them and more cream since I like a lot of sauce. Took another reviewers suggestion and added some garam masala. Would like to try with the coconut milk I think that would be really good. This is not kid friendly at all unless they like spicy foods. Will definitely make it again.

Thai Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2006
Made this for lunch and turned out well. I personally did not care for it but my husband loved it. Used half the recomended mint and would probably use less sesame oil next time my advice on the oil would be to add half and taste before adding more.
