Cream Wafers

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
Yummy. I worked this one with a helper whom accidentally melted the butter all the way and then mixed everything into a paste. I refridgerated it anyway and tried it--it worked beautifully. The cookies were easy to roll out, and baked up light, flaky and melt in your mouth just like I remembered my mom's used to.

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Read the reviews first. Sprayed a tiny amount of non-stick spray on the pan first and roasted them plain. Salted them while hot. Very good. 15 oz can doesn't make very much. 2 cans should fit well on a roasting pan.

My hubby, who hates brussel sprouts, said that he was willing to admit that he liked this dish. Thanks!

Mom's Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
Super easy. It was so nice to not have to pre-cook the noodles. I doubled it with good success. Ok to make the sauce soupy as the noodles absorb a lot.

Yummm! Great recipe. Very tender cookies. Like anything with chocolate chips--I doubled them...and the cookies turned out wonderfully. Thanks!

Broken Thermostat Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
Great! I accidentally mistimed the chapatis I made to go with this, so it overcooked a bit and the cauliflower disappeared. Turned out to be a great mistake--my finicky husband loved it...and he hates cauliflower. This is a keeper. The spices were just right for us and we chose to add salt at the table. Served it with plain yogurt, jalapeño, and cilantro. Yum!

Tofu Chocolate Pudding

My 1st experience with silken tofu--WOW. This is great. I love dark chocolate and went for the whole cup of chocolate chips...I was not disappointed. It's a keeper.

Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
Very easy preparation and quick to the table. Tasty, but a bit too spicy for us. I'll cut back on the cayenne next time. Yummy--Will make again.

Mocha Mudslide Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
Very rich. I successfully substituted one-third of the flour with whole wheat pastry flour, and replaced the nuts with chocolate chips.
