Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
sooo good, love the creaminess, the slight spice, and the taste of cilantro... made some mexican rice to go in it, and of course, had to have a Pacifico!!

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
I recommend using beer (an amber ale is good, something flavorful) instead of water. You will simmer it long enough to cook off the alcohol, however the flavor will be much improved! Also, add corn to the mix, as well as make cornbread on the side! I like to top mine with avocado. YUM.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
I thought that this recipe was only so so. Granted I did double it, so maybe I made a mistake somewhere along the line, but I really don't think so. Don't think I will make this again.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
MMMMMMM smells and looks delicious!! My sauce is cooling right now and I can already tell it will be a hit!! I used 3/4 orange juice because I wanted more of that orange taste with 1/4 cup water, half white half brown sugar, and 1/8 tsp cinammon as others have suggested. I think this is going to be a hit tomorrow!! I used a potato masher as my sauce was cooking to get all the berries popped and mashed a little, and I like that some are more whole than others. There was no splattering at all!! And ten minutes was about the perfect cooking time. SO EASY!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
Mmmmmmm awesome banana bread!!! I think I would add another banana for even more of a banana flavor next time. I added walnuts, which were great, but next time I am adding more of those too!! I thought it was a little chewy right out of the oven, but the next day, PERFECT!! I don't think it needs any added spices, this was great as is.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
I added the suggested flour and baking soda as suggested, but I found these cookies to be a little too dense, I think I would prefer them with less oatmeal perhaps? Also, about half of mine got burnt but I think that could be blamed on the fact that I am living abroad in Chile and cooked some in a wood stove and the others in an oven that doesn't seem to have any temperature gauge!!

Peach Cobbler VI

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2007
This recipe turned out pretty good, except I should have read the other reviews that say GREASE THE PAN!!!! Big mistake. I am currently living in the south of Chile and I wanted to make a desert for my host family using ingredients in their pantry, well they had all of this!! Pretty convenient recipe. Also, I had to bake it about 20 minutes longer than it said.

Poppy Seed Bundt Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
DE-LISH!! My mom and I couldnt stop eatin this, it is soooo good. I have made it for many occasions and it is always a favorite. A definite keeper!! Rich, buttery, mmmmmmm..... PS I wouldn't put sugar in the bundt pan first as it caused our cake to stick, i recommend spray oil and lots of flour!!
