Becki's Oven Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
As another poster said, follow Naturelle's additions/changes for this recipe from June 1, 2005!! It was delicious with the changes and smelled wonderful. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a sauce with a hint of the "smokey" flavour and do not have liquid smoke on hand (I didn't when I made this) just add some smokey bbq sauce. I added some (to taste) of the Bullseye Bold Original and a bit of black pepper to the sauce and it was perfect! I will defiantely be making wings with this sauce INSTEAD of going out from now on. Thanks for a fantastic recipe!

Tea Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
These biscuits were amazing! I was looking for something quick and easy that would go with any meal and I found it. However, I did cut back on the salt (I used 1/2 tsp) and added 2 tsp of dried parsley.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I was a little worried about the amount of cocoa in this recipe. I thought that it might make the cookies taste bitter but when they came out of the oven, they were perfect! I also used half chocolate chips and half white chocolate chips which balanced out the chocolate taste. These are cookies that I will for sure make again.

Maple Salmon

I made this when I went home to visit my parents. My dad is not a big "fish-fan" but he loved this dish enough that he went back for seconds!

Garden Stuffed Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
I only used 2 potatoes and had them in the microwave (on high) for approx. 7 min. I put them in the oven for 15, scooped them out and added 2tsp margarine and enough milk to get the consistency I wanted (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup). I used about 2 tsp parsley and 2 tsp seasoning salt. I then baked them for 15 more minutes, took them out and then added the cheese so it wouldn't get hard and crunchy. I placed them back into the oven (with the heat off) to let the cheese melt. They were awesome! My boyfriend loved these and insisted that we have them tomorrow night again!

Coffee Icing

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
I tried one of the variations that another person suggested: I added about 3 to 4 tbl of Amaretto which blended well with the coffee flavoring. It was delicious on a German Chocolate Cake!

Basic Margarita

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
I don't like lime so instead I used a can of frozen mango juice and once I had blended everything together and poured it into my glass, I added a little bit of cherry juice on top of the drink. It was delicious!

Super Easy Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
Was really easy to make. I did drizzle a little bit of margarine (approx 1 - 2 tsp) over the strips to make them a little more crispy.

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
I also baked my meatballs in the oven for about 20 to 23 minutes. I found the sauce to be a bit bland when I tasted it so I added a little bit of ketchup (approx. 1tsp) and it helped to add some flavour. I also served it over rice. It was great, my boyfriend even loved it!

Easy Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
This was so easy and delicious! However, I found that more cinnamon would have really added to the taste. I had put in 2tsp and I think that 3tsp would have been perfect. I also used 6 large gala apples and it was the perfect amount. I will definately make this one again.

I didn't want to use 1/2 cup of sugar so I used about 2 tsp of splenda. It was absolutely delicious!

I was searching for a new way to do "Cajun" chicken. This recipe unfortunately isn't a cajun chicken recipe. BUT - I decided to try this one and it is definately something different for chicken and tasted great!

Butternut Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2006
I used a spaghetti squash instead of a butternut squash. I microwaved it for about 8 to 10 minutes, seeded, peeled and cubed and placed it in boiling water until a fork could easily pierce the cubes. I also used half the amount of white sugar it called for. Also, for the topping i used 2 cups of corn flakes, 1/4 melted margarine and 1/2 cup brown sugar. This makes it less sweet but still with enough topping. Overall - it was great and will make it again!
