Mr. Doo Attempts to Steal Some Pastitso
About this Cook
I'm a dedicated feline maintenance worker to six wonderful kitties. I enjoy making doilies, traveling to diners, drive-ins and dives, and I've been known to quest for the perfect cheeseburger. My wild fantasy is to own my own mom & pop eatery. I'm edumacated to be a Marriage & Family Therapist. Comfort food is good therapy.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods, traditional favorites, soups, certain Italian dishes, and beef tenderloin.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Recipes using cream cheese.
My cooking triumphs
Probably my seven pound carrot cake. I only make it if I have enough people to eat it.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making something pork in the crock pot for a dinner party. It didn't cook fast enough, and we went out to eat at the local Chinese restaurant.

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada
Marinade for the meat is sublime. The sauce is too hot, so made it a second time without the jalapeno peppers. This is a recipe I'll make for the rest of my life!

Hungarian Goulash II
Quick and easy to make. I usually have all the ingredients on hand. Husband loved it which is what counts!

Country Chicken Casserole
I made a few personal touches to this recipe by using 50%-50% American/Cheddar, and instead of just corn I added a vegetable mix. I was uncertain if my husband would like it, and well a few bites into eating he started humming--his way of saying he thought it was good!
