I grew up on this stuff...my grandparents live in Maine and there was a bakery there that made this. It was all the grandkid's favorites. The bakery has since closed done and I have been looking for a good recipe like theirs forever. This is not it. The Italian spice is not nesceasary, but I do like the egg on top, not needed in the middle. I like to buy a box of make it yourself bread mix the italian seasoning inside it along with the parm. Then roll it out, layer the pepperoni side by side and top with a white and yellow chesse combo. It is much better that way and great dipped in Ranch. This is far from the best. However, it is a good base for those of you who have not tried pepperoni bread.
