About this Cook
I'm a busy stay-at-home mom of three. I have 2 teenagers(a boy--17& a girl--almost 15) and a twelve year old daughter. I love cooking, baking, reading, and bible studies. I am married to a wonderful man who thinks everything I cook is great.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook "southern" foods, and my new favorite interest is slow cooker recipes. I like to keep Sundays for church and family. And lately, I have also become interested in bread recipes. I tried one not too long ago that was a big hit.
My favorite family cooking traditions
In my family, I have become known for my sweet potatoes, sweet potato pie, and dressing(as in the kind that goes with turkey). It's a real honor to me, because those were some of my grandmother's specialties.
My cooking triumphs
I have had many, but nothing makes me feel better than when my kids think something I fix is "awesome"
My cooking tragedies
Early on, too many to count. Now, I don't have too many. I guess cause I get lots of practice!

Crispy Ketchup-Mustard Chicken
My family views this recipe as an "experience"--it wasn't awful, and it was almost good. But, we decided that we wouldn't want to do it again.

Famous Butter Chicken
I love this recipe. I always have to increase the recipe because I have a large family, but everyone loves it. I made this not long ago, and used lemon pepper instead of garlic salt. It got rave reviews at my house! I will definitely do that again.

Yummy Pork Chops
My family loves this recipe. It is so versatile. I change the dressing to give it different flavors. Anything that's a vinaigrette works great--balsamic, greek, asian sesame ginger--whatever you like. I've also done this with chicken. It is "yummy", also.
