Grilled Venison Backstrap

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
No apple cider (not apple cider vinegar as some have used) so used pineapple juice. Very tasty and not overly sweet. In the recipe rotation.

What a great recipe. It lends itself to any additions quite well. I added some shredded carrot, garlic, onion, and mushrooms. It really was delicious and will change up easily.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
Great flavor. I used a can of diced tomatoes in place of the sauce, dried basil and some crushed red pepper for some spice. I made 2 batches, 1 for marinade and 1 to serve over the whole wheat penne pasta.

Patti's Mussels a la Mariniere

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
Cooked as written the first time but it seemed to e missing something. Second time I changed it up a bit. Added more garlic and a cup of a good white wine. More tomatoes and some pearl onions. Perfect and the sauce is amazing with crusty bread.
