Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2014
My family loved this and it was really easy to make. I used chicken broth instead of veg since I didn't have any, and I used canned corn instead of frozen. I'll use less broth next time so that it doesn't turn out mushy.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
this was way too hot! I am east indian and I eat very hot food but this was insanely hot. I had to throw it out. I wonder if it varies according to the type of hot chilli powder. Maybe mine was too hot.

I followed the recipe exactly and I found it very bland, I had to add some salt and some chili to give it some flavour

Buttertart Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
I thought these called for way too much sugar and were therefore gritty when eating.

They were juicy, but had no flavor. Will not use this recipe again.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
I thought this recipe called for way too much sugar. I will stick to my old Apple Crisp recipe, it's much better

Adrienne's Tom Ka Gai

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2006
This soup turned out awesome! I used jarred lemon grass, and kept them in large pieces so that I could fish them out later. I also used mushrooms instead of chicken, and 2 green onion stalks instead of regular onion. Instead of 4 cups of water I used 2 cups chicken broth and an extra 14 oz can of coconut milk. I left out the cilantro as well. As others said, this recipe is very forgiving and will taste great with the addition of any vegetables.

Naan

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
These turned out just like Tandoori Naan from the Indian Restaurant. I used my kitchenaid mixer to knead the dough. I cooked them in the George Foreman grill and in the oven on a rack. I prefered the oven ones better. Thanks for the great recipe!

Apple Pecan Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2006
This recipe is really easy and tasty, however I found the dough topping to be a bit too sweet and it overpowers the taste of the apple mixture. I will try it again but with less sugar.

This is awesome! It tastes just like the Fatoosh I have eaten at a local restaurant. Thanks for this recipe, I've been searching for a long time!!

These were OK. They did not rise as much as others claimed. They did taste good though. I will try again and let rise longer.

Potato Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
These are yummy, but not worth the time and effort for me. I also found that the chip stuck to the plate even though I brushed it with oil. I also tried wax paper but they stuck to that as well.

This was okay...nothing special at all. I probably won't use this recipe again as there are others that are much better.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
I needed 6 bananas in this recipe. I thought it was too dense and strong tasting. I personally prefer a lighter tasting banana bread, though others liked it.

Baklava

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2006
This is to die for! I only used 3/4 of the butter and it still turned out great. I like that it is not so sweet like the ones at the bakeries. I love this served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
This is the best cheesecake I've made so far! I sliced the apples thinly and arranged in a spiral pattern on top of the cheese mixture and then I put whole pecans scattered ontop. Just before serving, I drizzled warm caramel sauce ontop. I served it at a dinner party last night and everyone wanted the recipe.
