Champagne Punch III

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Served this punch for our New Year's Eve party and it was a hit! The only ingredient changed was instead of using frozen limeade I used about 1 litre of Sprite-that's it. It was delicious! Not too sweet, just enough fizz, and it practically filled my punch bowl! It was literally gone in less than an hour. Definitely making this again. Thanks for sharing!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
My uncle requested an almond cream cheese pound cake for his 60th and this had great reviews so I thought, let's go for it! I'm SO glad I tried this recipe out because, WOW, it's delicious! Doubled the recipe to bake in 2 10" cake pans and used a generous amount of almond extract and voila! Scrumptious cake! I will definitely make this again and again =D

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
DELICIOUS! Upon reading the reviews, I did "up" the vanilla and added a dash of nutmeg-so tasty!! The cookies themselves were light and had the right amount of chewiness and light crispiness on the outsides. I found chilling my cookie dough in the fridge for about a day and a half really helped meld all the flavours together. It was a breeze to roll out, and took no time to bake. Honestly, this will be my go-to sugar cookie recipe from now on. Thanks for sharing!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
These are great cookies; soft, chewy, and sweet. I upped the serving number to 36 to accommodate the 12oz bag of white chocolate chips I had and adjusted the rest of the ingredients accordingly. That made me about 45 medium-sized cookies-not too big, not too small. I'm giving these 5 stars because they were easy to make, quick baking time, and the texture, taste and appearance were just right.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
I've made these a few times now and the recipe as-is is excellent. Very chocolately, and soft and tender on the inside, which is the way I like it. As some reviewers suggested I tried it with half sugar and half brown sugar and this gives a nice depth of flavour. I've also used 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chunks and 1 cup white chocolate chips instead of the nuts to make it a triple chocolate cookie! It's definitely worth a try for all you chocoholics out there =)

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
This is an excellent recipe; so easy and it took no time at all to make! More importantly, it is delicious! I only had 2 tubes of biscuit dough on hand, but it made the perfect amount for the 9" bundt pan I used. It filled the pan about 2/3 of the way and I had no problems with spillage in the oven. Aside from using only 2 tubes, (and adding hazelnuts) I followed the rest of the recipe as is. Thanks again for sharing!

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
Who knew Mountain Dew would taste so good in a dessert! I made this for a group of friends over the weekend and everyone cleaned their plates! I followed the recipe exactly, with the only minor exception being that I poured the Mountain Dew in first AROUND the dumplings and then poured the butter/cinnamon sugar on top (as suggested by another reviewer). Perfect results! This one is definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing =)

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
If I could give this 10 stars I would! These were incredibly easy to make, and I followed the directions to a tee. I didn't have a melon baller, so I used the backside of a tablespoon to create the 'wells' for the fudge; worked like a charm. When using the cookie scoop be sure to scoop just enough as the cookie will spill over the mini-muffin mold. The peanut butter flavour doesn't stand out as much, but that could be a good thing depending on your taste =)

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
Absolutely fantastic! I tried this recipe out for my cousin's birthday and it was devoured!! I followed this recipe exactly and it came out GREAT! As stated by another reviewer, don't be afraid to use the amount of oil and boiling (not hot!) water needed-it makes all the difference. Oh, and be sure to wait those 10min (or more!) before removing from the pan... it makes removal MUCH easier. This is a definite keeper. =)

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
Made this lastnight and it's a great base recipe. After having read some of the reviews I decided to add a few more spices of my own according to taste; I used beef gravy granules instead of beef bouillon and 2 cups of milk which helped in the thickening process. Also, added a bit more pepper, salt and worcestershire as well as some cajun spice for a bit of kick =) Great recipe and I'll definitely make it again!

Hands down, best brownie recipe I've come across in a long time! I always double the recipe because they disappear so quickly! =) I'm making these for Christmas treats this year.

Dutch Apple Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2006
This cake turned out great! Lovely, light and very delicious! I made a couple substitutions to it though - instead of 1/2 cup shortening I used 1/2 cup butter and I used 1 cup (packed) brown sugar instead of the white. Also added a couple dashes of cinnamon and a few more chopped apples in the batter. Just made this lastnight and it's practically gone already! Will definitely make this again.
