I will graduate this summer with a degree in Finance. I am 23 years old and I've been married for 2 1/2 years. Before I got married, I loved making cookies or anything sweet. Then when I got married, I had to start making dinner, and I have to say I loved it! I got hooked and now I'm always looking for different recipes on Allrecipes to try.

My favorite family cooking traditions
For Christmas we make a TON of food. We make fruit salad, pot roast with veggies, cornish hens, and eat lots of shrimp.
My cooking triumphs
My husband loves my cooking and I feel that is the BEST compliment I could ever receive. I think I really love cooking because he is always praising me.

Ultimate French Toast
Pretty basic. I added a little vanilla extract. I would use this recipe if I had an elaborate syrup or other topping.

Split Pea Soup with Rosemary
I had leftover ham from Easter in the freezer, so I used that instead of the bacon. I followed the recipe exactly after that, and it turned out beautifully. I have tried one other split pea soup recipe and this one tops it. I would make croutons to go with this next time. Yum!

Buttermilk Syrup
Fantastic taste! I actually ran out of vanilla after 1 tsp. so I used maple extract for the other one and I'm glad I did. The only complaint is that it needs to say a LARGE saucepan in the recipe. I used a medium one and it boiled over while I was making my waffles. There was plenty left so I saved it to use again this week.
