About this Cook
Happily married with a cat, dog and our first baby on the way! I'm really getting into freezer cooking as I think it will really help us stay on top of dinner with a new baby at home and a few friends of mine and I have started a once a month meal exchange! I generally don't enjoy eating unhealthy greasy or fried foods. I do however have a serious sweet tooth. And I mean serious.
My favorite things to cook
Hearty chicken soup, toad in the hole, zucchini souffle, bread pudding, pork roast stew, african peanut soup, gilled sea bass, teriyaki wasabi peanut chicken dips.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I will buy a nice bottle of wine, some nice meat, cheese, crackers, dijon mustard and horseradish and have a little indoor picnic while we watch a movie.
My cooking triumphs
I can now make Thai and Indian curries that taste like they came from a restaurant from scratch!
My cooking tragedies
An angel food cake in the wrong kind of pan once made for a messy stove.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup
This soup was really good! My husband has spent time in Hungary and said the flavor is definitely reminiscent of what he's eaten in Budapest. Considering how easy it was to make, we'll definitely be making this again!

Double Tomato Bruschetta
This was an incredibly easy to prepare and delicious appetizer. I think the flavor is definitely bruschetta but with a bit of something special that the balsamic adds. I'll make this again, thanks!

Masala Chai Brownies
I was really looking forward to these and while they were good, I was hoping that the chai flavor would really come through and was a bit disappointed that it didn't. I think the next time I make this, I'll actually add a dash of various chai spices to the mix to really give it some punch!
