My favorite of the Pfeffernusse recipes... it tastes like the ones my grandmother makes. I did both a normal batch, and following another reviewer's suggestion, a batch with double the spices (except pepper). I like it better with the stronger spices and flavors.

Fresh Tomato Shrimp Pasta

This dish was a great hit with my wife, and she is already asking when I will make it again. I substited frozen spinach (thawed of course) for fresh spinach, and since I was short fresh tomatoes, about half of my tomatoes were sun dried. It was still delicious.

Green Curry Lamb Balls

My wife loves lamb, and we both love green curry, so this seemed like a natural meal to try. I did have a slight problem with the outside of the meatballs cooking faster than the inside. This may have been because I had the pan too hot. A little under two minutes in the microwave cooked the meatballs through. I served them mixed with steamed broccoli and over rice, and it was delicious. My wife wanted to know when I was going to make it again.

Pumpkin Spice Cookie

It's an easy and delicious recipe, but they just don't seem like cookies. Something was off about them... the consistency, I think. However, I tried it again and put the whole mix into a 9x13 greased baking dish and cooked it for about 17 minutes. After it had cooled, I put some cream cheese frosting on it, and cut it up into squares. It was fantastic!

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

My wife and I love this recipe. Like some other reviewers, I used 5 cups of chicken broth instead of the water, broth, and bouillon mixture. I made this recipe with broccoli instead of asparagus one night, and it came out great!
