About this Cook
I love to cook and am always looking for new ways to make things. I am happily married for 7 years and have 2 beautiful children, a crazy dog, and 2 weirdo cats.
My favorite things to cook
I love making my favorites from my childhood. Chicken cutlet parmasean, lasangna, and postitsu, which is my favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make the same foods my mom made, in the same pan she made them in. Everyone has wanted to borrow this particular pan because its big, but I won't allow it to leave my house. My mother has had it for as long as I can remember, and now it is mine. She passed away in 2002, and it has become my favorite treasure she has given me.
My cooking triumphs
sticky chicken. I made it for a family bbq, and people couldn't get enough. Now that I have given the recipe to certain people, all they talk about is how much rave they are getting from it. get some chicken wings..add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 brown sugar, 1/4 cup soy sauce, salt pepper and garlic powder to taste..bake at 350 for about 1 and a half hours, basting every 30 min.
My cooking tragedies
I cooked bad chicken legs once. Covered it with bbq sauce and cooked them in the oven for an hour. One bite and my husband spit it out. I thought he got a hot bite, but it was bad..really bad..needless to say, we had pizza that night.

Corn Fritters
I usually like to make a recipe as its written, but I didn't have any flour. I followed the recipe exactly, but I used a cup of corn muffin mix instead of the flour. It was very tasty. I cooked it on the stove in some oil instead of the deep fryer(only cause I didn't want to clean They were very good. Next time I will try it with the flour, but the corn muffin mix gave it a nice crunch and nice taste.

Vanilla Milkshake I
I halved the recipe because I was only making it for me. I mixed it for a long time, but it never thickened like a milkshake is supposed to..the taste was good, but the consistency of a milkshake was not present. I don't know how long you are supposed to mix it, but I did it for almost 5 minutes, and it didn't change the thickness.

Byrdhouse Blistered Cherry Tomatoes
I would never think to eat tomatoes like this. Someone gave me a bunch of them right out of the garden, and other than salad, I didn't know what else to do with them. These were amazing!!!!!Thanks for such a simple and good recipe, def a keeper.
