Stuffed Green Peppers I

The whole family loved it, even my pickiest boy. I used diced tomatoes with green chiles instead of whole, and a large can of tomato sauce instead of soup. I added garlic and cumin to the tomato sauce. I followed others advice and used beef broth instead of water and added extra worcestershire and garlic. I could have just eaten the filling on its own! Great texture and lots of flavor.

Pumpkin Cake III

fantastic! Very moist and flavorful. I used 1/2 cup applesauce and 3/4 oil and substituted pumpkin pie mix for the canned pumpkin. It was perfect, baked in a bundt pan for 45 min and topped with warm cream cheese frosting. I will definitely make again. Even my picky boys loved it!

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

These were fantastic! this is my first try on homemade doughnuts and they were a hit. I used cake flour and had to add a little extra to get it right, but worth it. I also made a second batch of chocolate glaze by adding some cocoa powder. It made twice the batch and holes!

Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter

My husband used allrecipes for the first time and surprised me with this for dinner, fantastic. The blue cheese butter was amazing. Now I'm making him make it tomorrow too!

Best Beef and Broccoli

This is the easiest really good recipe! I have been making this for at least 3 yrs, since I joined allrecipes. Its quick, tasty and a staple in my home. I change it up all the time adding different veggies or brown sugar for more of a teriyaki flavor. The way to make a cheap cut of steak stay tender is to cut against the grain of the meat and let the whole dish simmer for about a half hour. Its a family fave with the pickiest eater asking for seconds.

Angel Biscuits II

Even with the substitutions I made these were amazing. I substituted 1c buttermilk with sour cream and half the shortening with butter, just due to what I had on hand. They were light and flaky and gone in a flash. The kids begged and finished their chicken just to have another!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

I love this recipe! I made an espresso chocolate glaze for the top of my "Too Much Chocolate Cake" using this as a base. I used 1 cup of Guittard semi-sweet chocolate chips since they already have the vanilla. Instead I added 1 shot of espresso and kept the corn syrup and butter the same. It turned out a perfect glaze.

Frosty Freezer Pie

This was a huge hit with the family and very quick and easy. The kids picked out a berry patch sherbet and it turned out great. Can't wait to make it again with another flavor!

Cornish Splits

I have made this recipe many times now and it has never failed to wow my family. They love these rolls. I use my bread machine on the dough setting, but I put the milk and yeast in and let them sit for about ten minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients. Perfect every time!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

These cookies are great. The little hands that helped make them threw the portions off a little but they still turned out perfect. Everyone raved! A little note the cookies we baked on our stone took about 9 min and stayed on the stone another 2 out of the oven to get crispy like the 8 min cookie sheet batches. still wonderful!
