Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
An EXCELLENT carrot cake. While I've tried a lot of different carrot cakes, this is the first time I've made one myself, and it blows all the other carrot cakes away. I'm definitely going to make this recipe again!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
This is my go-to recipe for chocolate chip cookies! Seriously awesome, the name describes it perfectly. Big, fat, and chewy. I usually don't make them too big, but beware that they spread out quite a bit so leave spaces between them on the baking sheet!

Spring Lime Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
I made these for a tea party with friends, and they loved them! People were actually raving about these cookies after the party, maybe because the lime flavor is so unique in cookies. I would definitely make them again. One tip: use powdered sugar for the glaze.

Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
Great with tea! The scones are flaky and buttery, though I would cut back on the butter a bit and maybe cut it up into smaller chunks or grate them as one reviewer suggested.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
Kids loved it, adults thought it was too sweet. I would definitely cut down on the condensed milk next time and maybe add banana cream pudding mix in like some other reviewers suggested. Overall it's a very rich, creamy dessert that you can fix up in minutes!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: May 14, 2010
I made this cake for my mom on Mother's Day, and she (and everyone else in the family) absolutely loved it! My only suggestion would be to maybe add some water to the instant coffee powder before putting it into the cake mix...the granules were kinda weird in the batter, but it was a very minor thing. The cake tasted so delicious and moist! Excellent with strawberries too :)

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
I liked these, but you MUST eat them with tea or some kind of drink, because they are on the dry side. I had a little trouble with them being crumbly, but otherwise they were easy to make. Definitely a very nice addition to a holiday cookie tray!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
My family absolutely loves these saltine toffee cookies...I have made a few batches already to keep up with the demand! :) The best part is, it's SOOO easy to make. The hard part for me is breaking it all up...I like them in bite size pieces, so it's a little more difficult. But other than that, this is a fantastic recipe! I topped my first batch with multicolored nonpareil sprinkles, and the next few with pistachios and walnuts.

Banana Banana Bread

I LOVE IT. This is what real banana bread is, and it tastes amazing! I especially like it with chocolate chips to add a little more sweetness.

Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

Excellent. My boyfriend and I made these for a special anniversary picnic, and it was simply divine! We did have to wait a bit for the mixture to cool...it's much better cold! Would definitely make again!

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
I usually don't like sugar cookies, but I loveddd these ones! They're definitely great with a cinnamon-sugar coating. Make sure to space them the full 2 inches on the pan though, otherwise they might spread and stick to each other!

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
This recipe tastes exactly like what the ingredients call for--basically peanut butter and sugar. It is VERY peanut buttery...so if you're a big fan of scooping out spoonfuls of peanut butter and eating them raw, then this recipe is for you! If not, then I suggest you stick to a more traditional peanut butter cookie recipe. I must add that it IS a really easy recipe though...great for kids!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Maybe it's just personal preference, but this recipe didn't come out the way I hoped. I thought it didn't taste sweet enough, and the taste reminded me of cornbread. An okay recipe, but I think I'll try a different one next time.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
Excellent recipe! I made these cookies today for my younger brother and sister and they loved it! I didn't realize the batch would be so big though; I guess I overlooked the "72 servings"! In any case, I had plenty left over...so I shared them with my friends and neighbors, who devoured it all! Will definitely make again in the future. My one recommendation is to add some salt, and lessen the amount of chocolate chips...4 cups is way too much, so I'd keep it to about 2-3 cups.
