Cedar Planked Salmon

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
This was the best thing I have ever made- AMAZING. I used wild sockeye salmon and it was delicious. Don't be afraid of the cedar plank, just be sure to soak the plank for at least 4 hours. As an extra treat save the marinade and boil it so you can serve it with the fish. I served the fish with asparagus and a plain rice and salad. TRY THIS you will be a star!!! Thanks for the receipe

Asian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
Best Pork Tenderloin recipe I have come across in years. Some suggestions- cook at 325 for 80 muinutes. Just as many others I was unable to locate the Asian Chile paste. Use Chile Garlic sauce which you can find in the supermarket as well as fresh grated ginger. Next time I will make extra sauce so that I can serve with leftovers the next day. Try this one, you won't be disappointed!

Mom's Zucchini Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
Very good receipe. I used about 1/2 of the butter and before baking cut up a tomato and also added some shredded parm cheese. Cooked for thirty minutes and used paper towel to absorb moisture in center of pie as it does come out a little soggy in the middle! Thanks for a great receipe!

Brown Rice, Broccoli, Cheese and Walnut Surprise

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
EXCELLENT RECEIPE! I am trying to find receipe's for my daughter who recently decided to become a vegetarian. This receipe is great as written and you could easily add some cooked chicken or beef for those in the family who do like meat. I don't think this was four servings, I would double it next time I make it.

My new favorite receipe. Just a few changes- Used 3/4 lb scallops and 3/4 lb shrimp, used half and half 2bags of fresh spinach and based on other reviews didn't prebake scllops and omitted the old bay and replaced with creole seasoning. FANTASTIC!!

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
GREAT RECEIPE. ONE SUGGSTION THAT MAKES THIS SOUP EVEN BETTER IS DON'T USE THE CANNED CHICKEN - DOESN'T TASTE THE BEST . PICK UP A ROASTED CHICKEN FROM THE MARKET AND PUT THAT IN INSTEAD. SERVE OVER TORTILLA CHIPS AND TOP WITH SOUR CREAM AND SHREDDED CHEESE. THANKS FOR A FANTASTIC RECEIPE

Pollo Mediterranean

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
GREAT RECEIPE. I was looking for something to serve this weekend for company and this is it! Only change I made was that I used cooking sherry because I didn't have white wine and I used chopped black olives which had a worked out well. In the produce section I found a bag of smoked sun dried tomatoes which were julienne cut and moist so they worked perfectly. Definitely use fresh parsley if you have it. If you like receipes that are a little different with some real flavor this is the one. Thanks so much for a great receipe!!

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Great starter receipe. Save yourself time and buy a 15 oz jar Garlic alfredo Sauce ( I used Newmans) and add to it 1/3 cup of Pest and there is your sauce! I took another reviewers suggestion and sauted 1lb pound of asparagus, and a pack of fresh sliced mushrooms in some garlic and butter and when just about done added a can of petite diced tomatoes. Served over 160z box of penne pasta - yum Thanks

I didn't care for this receipe at all. It was very bland and would have needed many changes to make it a good soup. Sorry!

Cucumber Sandwiches I

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
WOW! This receipe was a home run. I needed a "healthy" snack for my daughter's tennis team. Mixed the cream cheese the day before and put in a pastry bag. Served on cocktail rye (cut the crust off). Took very little time to make but was a beautiful presentation. Topped off with fresh dill - Thanks for a great receipe!

Tater Tot Casserole III

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
I made this for my family tonight. I suggest not adding any additional salt as it made the dish too salty. I also did as another reviewer suggested and left off the cornflakes and used Durkee French Onions( be sure to cover half way through baking if you use these because they tend to burn if left uncovered too long)

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I made this last night and it was quite good. Made the receipe exactly as written except cooked it on high in the crockpot for 4.5 hours. For sure do as others suggested and cook in the oven for 15 minutes at 400 before serving. The only general adivce is maybe to buy ribs without the bone? I used almost 3lbs of Pork ribs on the bone and it only gave us six ribs- not enough meat. But the sauce was excellent. thanks
