About this Cook
I'm a reluctant chef trying to figure out how to feed a family of 7.
My favorite things to cook
I love everything, that's my problem. I try to make healthier meals for the fam and low carb meals for myself. Love the cropckpot, it's God's gift to busy moms!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making the Thanksgiving turkey, French Toast Casserole on Christmas morning, Baking 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies w/help from the kids.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest cooking triumph is having the patience to peel, chop, and wait for the recipe to be done. I am not there yet, but improving.
My cooking tragedies
Once made homemade chinese food for my husband that he gagged on. Still not sure what went wrong.......?!!

Molasses Cookies
These were good but tasted strongly of baking soda. I'll use less next time.

Meatloaf in a Mug
This is an awesome recipe that can be altered and customized as needed. I love it!!! Today I used ground turkey, 1 TBS Fiber One cereal (ground), 2 TBS milk, 1 TBS Lipton Beefy Onion soup, and chopped, fresh parsley. After cooking, I put a bit of ketchup on top but gravy would work nicely too. Yum!!!

Easy Biscuits
We did not like these at all. They were very dry , and had no flavor. I think these need a good pinch of salt, at the very least/
