I love to cook! After graduating college (with an accounting degree) I took a pastry course in Boston. I've now been working in accounting for a few years but plan to open a coffee shop/bakery someday!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, but I don't eat any of it because i'm a health freak. Everybody I live with is constantly tell me to stop baking because they don't want to eat it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking holiday and seasonal food. It's my way of hanging on to my childhood. I love sharing it w/ my younger siblings as well.
My cooking triumphs
I had a recipe for my pumpkin chili posted in my local newspaper. It felt great! I also really enjoyed the pastry class that I took.

Lentil and Sausage Soup
This was soooo yummy! I used 1/2 the pasta that the recipe called for and 1/2 the salt as well. I'm probably going to have to add a little more chicken broth when i go to eat the leftovers tonight b/c it's really thick. Def will make this again!

Salmon Cakes III
This was really good, but I was surprised to see that nobody else had the same problem as I did. I didn't drain the salmon and my mixture was like soup. I ended up having to add an extra tablespoon of flour and at least 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs too. I'd def drain the salmon next time.

Crab Stuffed Haddock
This recipe was different. I usually only make fish w/ breadcrumbs or spices. The stuffing was a little too moist. I'd probably cut back on the liquid if I made it again
