This was a good meal, don't get me wrong, it was not the flavor that I was expecting. I love french dips and will try it again, maybe adding a can of
French onion soup, or something! I scaled back on the spices, as others had suggested and used 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce. It actually wasn't salty enough. Maybe try the full amount of reduced sodium soy next time. I served on toasted hoagie rolls. Just okay for me, dawg. Maybe it was my roast cut too - I used a leaner, more expensive cut. Maybe a fatty roast is what you need to make it fall-apart tender.
