Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
normal good cookie. maybe better with milk choco chips? mine came out soft but a little dry... i thought the batter was a bit dry in the first place. wonder if it's because of the butter... should i have left it in room temperature longer? if baked for another minute or so, they become crispy.

Food for the Gods

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
soooo good!!!!!! lessened 3 tbsps of butter and used only 3/4 c white sugar. for the brown sugar, i still put in 1 c packed but used super dark brown sugar. i read a tip that if you want it chewy, use dark brown sugar. kept an eye while it was finishing in the oven and came it out super perfect!! wished this recipe was the one i used for my xmas goodie gifts!

Cinnamon Streusel Orange Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
tried this recipe twice and it's a flop!!! the muffins were heavy and gummy!! i don't know what went wrong! the 2nd time, for sure i didn't overmix. could it be the homemade buttermilk? we don't have buttermilk in our area. i used 1/2 c milk and 1 1/2 tsp vinegar, stir and let stand for 10 mins. help!!! i know these muffins should be delicious!!! will try for the very last time... change the buttermilk to orange juice. oh, i also put some orange zest and they smelled really yummy! but gummy, no air-pockets! :((((

muffins turned out gummy and not cakey or bread like. did i overmix or undermix it?? i used 1 3/4 cups canned whole kernels but i found it too much. next time i'll try 1 cup kernels. i also reduced white sugar to 1/2 cup

Chocolate Revel Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
my friends love this!!! i used 2 cups APF and added 1/2 cup shredded coconut (if it's sweetened, it really won't matter) to the dough. reduced brown sugar to 1 3/4 cups and omitted the walnuts. 13x9 pan makes the bars too thick. use 14x10 pan but make sure you leave enough oatmeal dough for the topping. if it's not enough, the chocolate layer will easily be gooey and melt if left in room temperature (harder to handle and quite messy!). also, make sure you don't underbake because the chocolate layer will be hard to handle too!

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
followed the advice of others and reduced butter to 1/2 cup and sugar to 3/4 cup. i also did the 3 tbsp instant coffee but wasn't satisfied still with the coffee taste. maybe 4-4 1/2 tbsp would do the trick. careful not to overbake!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
I loovveee this recipe!! but don't leave and expose to air after cooling cookies down. store right away as air takes out chewiness. best served warm, right out of the oven! next time, i'll add 1/2 cups coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) and reduce chocochips to 1 1/4 cups. also, use hersheys or any branded chocochips!
