Roasted Winter Squash Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Great flavor and crunch! I roasted the seeds after roasting a rather large butternut squash for the butternut squash pie. I left the seeds in for about 20 minutes to get a nice golden brown color and sprinkled with sea salt. Great healthy snack. Now I can't wait to make the squash pie.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
The sauce base was great. I did not have chicken available so I cut a small boneless pork sirloin roast into thick "chops". I used the sauce but added fresh pineapple(I did not have canned handy), also added red pepper with the green. I seared the "chops" then put all in the crock pot for 6 hours on low. Came out wonderfully moist and tender. I served with baked rice and garlic french cut green beans. Easy and Delicious!

Sour Cream Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Great recipe. The dough handles perfectly. I did double the cinnamon and added a touch of fresh ground nutmeg. I sprinkled with colored sugar and baked for 11 minutes on an insulated cookie sheet. Perfect taste and texture. I have found your ingredients need to be very fresh, you cannot use parchment paper and you need a good cookie press. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
This was a very good dish. I was actually looking for aside dish for chicken breasts I was preparing. I followed the recipe leaving out the chicken. I chopped zucchini and sauteed with the onion adding pepper and parsley while it cooked. I used a combo of cheddar, monterey jack and mozzerella for the cheese as I had that on hand. Very easy and tasty.

Sour Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2006
This cake was wonderful. I did change a few things. Using a Duncan Hines Butter Fudge Cake Mix....I substituted some of the water with coffee(1/2 cup)then used 1/8 cup water and the 2 tsps vanilla. I gently folded in the sour cream just until blended. I put the batter in my NordicWare bundt pan and baked at 350 for 45 minutes. The result was perfectly formed cake, moist and good texture. My husband is a moist cake freak and he said it was dangerous.
