My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmother's pierogies - she would make hundreds at a time and freeze them. I've tried getting the recipe, but she measures everything by her palm and doesn't know the measurements! However, I'm inheriting her "pierogy glass" eventually - she's been using it to cut out the dough for decades.
My cooking triumphs
I made a lemon sabayon tart with honeyed marscapone topping for Easter - it's a recipe from the French Laundry (oh, how i want to go there!!!!!!!!!) It was the hardest filling I've ever made, but it came out perfectly.
My cooking tragedies
For some reason, I can not cook roast anything - it always comes out either underdone or charcoal.
