About this Cook
I am the oldest kid of 6. I am homeschooled and LOVE to cook. With this size of a family we go through a lot of food. So there is always anoportunity to try a new recipe. We have a family band. I play the piano, guitar and fiddle. My one and only brother plays piano, guitar, manolin, and fiddle. And the rest of the little girls all play fiddle. We all love to sing as well.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make cream puffs. Way too much fun!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My great-grandma makes the best fried green beans you ever tasted. Many times when we sit down to eat, there is a pan of green beans just waiting to be eaten. Although we use the same recipe as hers, we can never quite get it exactly as she makes them.

Glazed Apple Cookies
These weren't the best. Don't know if it was me or the recipe. The texture turned out weird. Probably not gonna make these again.

Fresh Ginger Cookies
They were ok. I liked the flavor of them, but the texture turned out way wrong. When I baked them they flattened out paper thin. Tasted good though.

Rolled Buttercream Fondant
Cool recipe. It tastes really good and is easy to make. THe only problem I had was transfering it from the counter to the cake. It completely flopped. But I tried rolling it out again, this time not as thin as before. Worked Awesome! I now know what to do next time. Roll it out thicker!
