Irish Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2014
Really, really, really good! I subbed the lamb out for ground Italian sausage and oh man, yum! The potatoes alone are to die for and reminded me of the inside of a pierogie. It was a big hit in our household and I'll definitely be making it again!

Italian Sausage Deep Dish Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2014
Absolutely delicious!!! I followed the recipe almost exactly. The only thing I did differently was that I made my own pizza crust. I'm not sure if my crust was extra fluffy, but there was way more topping than needed, even for two pizzas it was falling off everywhere because there was so much! I will be making this again, for certain!

Baked Chicken and Zucchini

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2014
I really liked this recipe. It's awesome for a lighter meal. My husband and my kids loved it. I only baked it for about 12 minutes though and cooked the chicken in the pan a little longer. I will definitely be putting this on our regular menu!

Dad's Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2014
I halved this recipe. It was really simple to make and delicious! It reminded me of elephant ears you'd get at a fair. We put cinnamon and sugar on ours and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Peach Curd

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2014
I made this just as a breakfast spread and it turned out really well! I was a bit worried that it wasn't going to thicken, but it definitely thickened really nicely once it cooled and is delicious!! I only made half of the recipe so I didn't can it as the recipe states because I'm sure it won't last long!

German Filled Hoernchen

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2014
These were just okay for me. I didn't have any white wine so I just doubled the amount of rum in the dough, but otherwise I followed the recipe as written. I used apricot and raspberry preserves for the filling. The dough smelled amazing, but seemed to be lacking in taste.

Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Ice Pops

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2014
These were so simple to make and really delicious! I didn't have any plain yogurt, so I used a mixed berry flavor of yogurt. I so didn't use paper cups as we have plastic molds for Popsicles and used those. Our whole family loved these and they went fast!

Elbows Mac and Cheese with Tuscan Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2014
I liked this. I made it exactly as written. My kids really loved it, so I will probably make it again, but I thought it was missing something that I couldn't put my finger on. It is something different from your usual Mac and cheese.

Whole Grain Spaghetti with Cherry Tomatoes, Marinated Chicken Breast and Pesto

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
I really loved this meal and so did the rest of my family. It is a perfect pasta dish for a summer evening. I followed the recipe nearly as written, except I added some more pesto than it called for. The Barilla Whole Grain Spaghetti is so good, it was my first time trying it. I will definitely be adding this to my dinner repertoire!

Patriotic Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
This is so good! My only regret is not putting more fruit on the top! The sugar cookie crust is the best part, though! I didn't use margarine or shortening, but all real butter instead of the two of those and it turned out wonderfully. It is more than halfway gone not even a day later with our family of five.

Bucket of Mud

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
I thought this would be a fun dessert for my 3 boys. They absolutely loved it! I made it just as the recipe stated, but I also added in gummy worms and some more oreo crumbs at the top of the bucket. It was a big hit in our family! I'd definitely make it again.

Tex-Mex Turkey Chili with Black Beans, Corn and Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2014
This recipe was good! It was really simple and super quick to make. I think the butternut squash adds a hint of sweetness to it, or maybe it was the crushed tomatoes that I used, but it was different. I had thought it was going to be too thick at first but upon cooking it a little longer, it wasn't as thick. Even my 6 year old loved it - so I'll be making it again!

Grilled Masala Chicken with Vegetables

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2014
I really loved this recipe and so did my family! I couldn't find garam masala spice blend, so I used this recipe to make my own: Allrecipes Easy Garam Masala. It was easy to prepare and cook and using Reynolds foil made the cleanup super easy! I used the yogurt on my own chicken, but no one else in my family did. I think I preferred it without the yogurt as well. But I will definitely be making this again!

This recipe was SO good and realllly easy! I skipped out on using the food processor to make it even easier and to save dishes and it still turned out wonderfully! I'm adding this to my usual list of meals to make!

Grilled Salmon Greek Pitas

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2014
I really enjoyed these! Even my picky 3 year old enjoyed the salmon! It was SO easy to make and cook, along with an easy cleanup! I followed the recipe, but I also added a bit of lemon juice to the greek yogurt for a tiny bit more tang. I also didn't have any lettuce on hand, so we didn't use that, but they were still great!

Amazing Muffin Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2014
I made these for a weekend breakfast and followed the recipe exactly. We don't do a lot of savory breakfasts around here, but these were so good! My husband and I loved them. Our 3 boys wanted to pick out all of the peppers and green onion, but they are picky. They were also wonderful for reheating in the toaster oven days later! I'm planning on making them again soon.

Prego® Now and Later Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2014
I halved the recipe and used mild italian sausage in place of ground beef. It was absolutely delicious!! I used fresh mozzarella since that was what I already had on hand. I'll definitely be keeping this recipe around. My entire family loved it, including my 3 picky little boys!

Pork Carnitas with Cilantro Tomatillo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2014
I made this while my parents, brother and grandmother were visiting so I doubled the recipe and it was a big hit with everyone other than my picky little boys. I was out of regular chili powder and I didn't want it to be too spicy for the kids, so I just used a little more of the chipotle powder than called for in the recipe. It did take about 45 minutes longer than stated in the recipe for it to thicken up. The cilantro tomatillo sauce is definitely more like a pico. It seemed a little bland to me, so I added the juice of one lime and some salt and pepper to taste and it was great. I also fried the corn tortillas so that they were slightly crispy and added cheese and avocados to our carnitas and served with rice and black beans. I will definitely be making this again!
