About this Cook
I have three little boys, two of which are very picky eaters, so I'm always trying to make things that they'll like. My family and I just moved back to Pennsylvania after my husband separated from the Navy. We were previously stationed in Charleston, South Carolina and before then, Norfolk, VA. I already miss all of the good food in Charleston! I love taking pictures of my kids, reading, making invitations and cards in photoshop, decorating our new home and I have just started to take up sewing.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake. Especially cupcakes and cake. I'm not much of a decorator, but I can make a delicious cake! My family enjoys a lot of pastas and stir frys. We also just got our first gas grill and I've been loving that! It's so much quicker than charcoal! =) I love to try new recipes. I'd say that I try something new at least once a week, if not more.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother is half Korean, and I love cooking with her. We usually make kimchi and Korean BBQ together for most of our family get togethers.
My cooking triumphs
I've become very proud of the fact that I can make cakes and cupcakes without any recipes now. I can just kind of throw things together, a lot of the time without measuring, even!
My cooking tragedies
In the past I've made many failed cakes that were too moist (no matter how long I put them back in the oven) or had those cakes that sink in the middle...just not pretty looking! And it's also always a tragedy to have to do the dishes after cooking! =)

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II
I was hoping for this to taste more like dip you'd get in a restaurant, but it didn't. It was really thick and had a different taste. I think I will use something besides the alfredo sauce next time.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
These turned out tasting really well, but the dough was too sticky to make them look really pretty. I tried refrigerating it longer, even overnight, and it was still too sticky.

Pie Crust IV
I used this crust to make Irish beef pies (a recipe I got from a magazine) and it was the best part of the meal! I used it again today to make a pie, but I haven't tried that yet. It is so easy to make and sooo delicious!
