This month I was given a roll of Reynolds® foil.  This is something I already always keep in my house and use regularly.  It is such an awesome product that is so versatile!  I always use it to line baking trays while baking meat or potatoes, to cover dishes, to wrap up sandwiches or bread,… MORE

About this Cook
I have three little boys, two of which are very picky eaters, so I'm always trying to make things that they'll like. My family and I just moved back to Pennsylvania after my husband separated from the Navy. We were previously stationed in Charleston, South Carolina and before then, Norfolk, VA. I already miss all of the good food in Charleston! I love taking pictures of my kids, reading, making invitations and cards in photoshop, decorating our new home and I have just started to take up sewing.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake. Especially cupcakes and cake. I'm not much of a decorator, but I can make a delicious cake! My family enjoys a lot of pastas and stir frys. We also just got our first gas grill and I've been loving that! It's so much quicker than charcoal! =) I love to try new recipes. I'd say that I try something new at least once a week, if not more.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother is half Korean, and I love cooking with her. We usually make kimchi and Korean BBQ together for most of our family get togethers.
My cooking triumphs
I've become very proud of the fact that I can make cakes and cupcakes without any recipes now. I can just kind of throw things together, a lot of the time without measuring, even!
My cooking tragedies
In the past I've made many failed cakes that were too moist (no matter how long I put them back in the oven) or had those cakes that sink in the middle...just not pretty looking! And it's also always a tragedy to have to do the dishes after cooking! =)

Veggie Elbows Mac and Cheese with Crunchy Bread Crumbs
this was so good! I had never tried okra before, so I was a little hesitant, but it was delicious! The combination of the cheeses was amazing and the veggie elbows were as well! I'll definitely make this again!

Jumbo Shells with Asparagus, Prosciutto, Ricotta Cheese and Three Cheese Sauce
This was good! I followed the recipe as instructed. I over cooked my asparagus a bit, but you couldn't really notice once it was all together. I think I'm just not a huge fan of prosciutto. I think I might make it with sausage next time instead. I absolutely love this barilla sauce though!

Irish Shepherd's Pie
Really, really, really good! I subbed the lamb out for ground Italian sausage and oh man, yum! The potatoes alone are to die for and reminded me of the inside of a pierogie. It was a big hit in our household and I'll definitely be making it again!
