Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: May 5, 2012
Loved these. Awesome marinade. I grilled on the stove in a grill pan and they were great. Didn't put chipotle in the dressing, not a chipotle fan but used the other ingredients. Thanks for a great recipe. A definite keeper and I was a hit for the Cinco De Mayo dinner at my house.

Brazilian Fish Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
I really wanted to give this 3.5 stars but there is none so I will ere on the side of going up. This was most certainly easy to make and tasty, I just can't help thinking it needs something...a little kick. We did add red pepper flakes to spice it up and I did use light coconut milk, I will use full strength next time. I am going to make again and see what I can add to it. One person did suggest saving lime juice to put on it at the end, I may try that. Thanks for the recipe, we enjoyed it over rice.

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
ok, this has been in my recipe box since 2008 and I finally got around to making it. Yummy! Easy to make and delicious. I followed other reviewers ideas and added garlic and mushrooms and did not put the mustard all over the meat before browning. I may try that next time to see if it does make a difference. I did have to add salt and pepper to the sauce. Also, I didn't see this on any reviews but my sauce was pretty thin, I am a thick sauce girl and took some sauce out, blended in some cornstarch and thickened it up. My family loves any sauce and next time I will make 1 and a 1/2 times the sauce. Thanks for a resataurant quality meal.

Grandmas Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
I did what other reviewers said and doubled the mushrooms and sauce and added minced garlic, glad I did. My family really liked this dish, it did have a restaurant taste to it. I served over mashed potatoes. Next time I will add artichokes hearts and serve over angel hair pasta or linguine. Thanks for a new yummy recipe.

Basil-Garlic Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
These were ok. I have lots of pork chop recipes that are family faves so I probably won't make again but I am glad I tried them. Easy to make. I did marinate all day and added some oil like another reviewer said. Thanks for sharing Gina-Li

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
This was really good, my son even said it tasted like a restaurant meal Made exactly as written, except celery salt, didn't have any and used a little less mayo, per other review, since hubby is not a big mayo fan. Would love to adapt this recipe a little with less butter since I have to watch my caloric intake. Thanks for posting it!

Dan's Favorite Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
Yum this was delish. My family loved it. My son said he felt like he was eating in a diner and we love diner sandwiches. I used others suggestions, grilled the chicken on the bbq, cooked bacon separately this morning and smashed the avocado on the rolls to make eating it easier. I also sliced the chicken like others said, it did make it easier to eat. What great flavors. One thing I added, somehow I thought it was part of the recipe, was sauteed mushrooms. Now I see that was not part of the recipe. Oh well, it was tasty anyway. Thanks so much for posting. This will defintely be a staple in my house and save me lots of money at a restaurant!

I made these exactly as written for my kids and they loved them. I made extra so they could take for lunch to school and the other kids wanted one too. Fun, fast meal.

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
These were just like restaurant meatballs and much lighter made with pork. Didn't use veal, couldn't find it plus it is expensive. Used milk instead of water and bread crumbs instead of bread since that is how I always made them. Baked and not fried. Simmered 1 hour in sauce.

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2010
I liked this though I did take some reviewers suggestions which may have altered it a smidgen. I did the two cans of cream of mushroom soup and sauteed onions and mushrooms before cooking. We loved the gravy, thickened with cornstarch. This is a keeper!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
I gave this 5 stars, 4 for taste and an extra one for ease of preparation. I needed a quick dinner for a busy night and had all these ingredients on hand. Didn't think my husband would like it but he and all the boys loved it. I did the half sour cream, half mayo thing like others, I also flattened my chicken and cooked it for an hour, 30 minutes didn't seem long enough. Yay, a new, quick dinner for busy days.

Kalamata Pork Tenderloin with Rosemary

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
I would have given a 5 but my hubby and 3 boys all said 4, so there you have it. I took another reviewer's advice and marinated overnight in olive oil, garlic and lemon, I added some fresh rosemary to the marinade. I also doubled the sauce ingredients, can never have too much sauce but can have too little. Pan fried the meat but wanted to make sure it was cooked through so after making the sauce I simmered meat in sauce until done. Dissolved some cornstarch in water and brought to a boil, after removing cooked meat, to make sauce thicker...I like thick sauce. Will make again, unique flavor.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
Yum, I enjoyed this recipe but only gave it 4 stars since 4 out of 5 in the family really liked it. It wasn't my husband's taste. I used fresh breasts, probably 5 or 6 and it was fine. I did take the meat out and shred it and then poured the liquid...it was very liquidy, into a small pan and added cornstarch, brought to a boil and put bag in crockpot with meat. I used Franks Buffalo hot sauce because that came highly recommended by a friend. Great quick dinner. I made the Crispy Potato Wedges from this site for a side dish.

Yum, these were great. Will definitely make again. Now I don't have to spend $4 a bag for fries, I will buy my potatoes on sale and make them at home.

Slow Cooker Chile Verde

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
My whole family loves this stuff. I often just make it with one big jar of green salsa instead of the five small cans. Safeway Select brand is so spicy it doesn't need the jalapenos. I serve them on the side. Makes a nice big batch, first night over rice in bowls, second night in tortillas! Very authentic. My husband, who was raised in Mexico, loves it! Thanks for a keeper.

Panzanella Panini

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Yum, I loved this, though I forgot to put the vinegar on it, oops. I used a whole loaf of ciabatta bread (I think I confused two recipes) and spit it, built one big sandwich and cooked in olive oil sprinkles with parmesan cheese. We sliced it and ate wedges of it with tomato basil soup for a delicious easy dinner. Will try onions when hubby is not home, he is not a fan. My sons loved this too.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
This was delicious. Made just as written. Next time I will try what other reviewers wrote about saving some marinade, before putting raw chicken in, and putting some on my chicken to add flavor when done cooking. I loved the smell of the marinade and would like to have more of it on my chicken next time. May also experiment with 2 pieces and baking it in a pan, while grilling the others and seeing how it comes out so I can make it during the winter. I served this with rice pilaf and sauteed zucchini, yummy! I will be using the leftovers for some yummy sandwiches!

Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
Delicious, just like a restaurant. I, too, used olive oil instead of vegetable and used Splenda. Will definitely make again. I used this on Missy's Candied Walnut Gorgonzola Salad from this site and it was wonderful.

Missy's Candied Walnut Gorgonzola Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
This was restaurant quality. I was concerned that I was doing the nuts incorrectly because the sugar was not turning to a liquid, but sure enough, by 5 minutes it did and the nuts were fabulous, mine were a bit hard so I warned my guests to be careful. Like another reviewer, I chose to make the Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing from this site, I don't always like bottle vinaigrettes. You really can do walnuts or pecans (I used pecans) and next time I may try with goat, bleu, or feta cheese. I did add one pear and I liked the added flavor. I used this as a side dish to grilled chicken pesto sandwiches but will definitely serve at my next "girlfriends" luncheon with grilled chicken on top for a meal.

Green Chile Frittata

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I love this recipe. It is quick and easy and it is so nice to have a breakfast casserole with no bread or meat in it for a change. My husband, who does not like any kind of casserole, actually ate it! This has become our Christmas breakfast so thank you for posting and adding to our traditions. I will experiment with some of the suggestions from others, just for fun, but love the original.
