Started my cooking "career" as a teenager liking to cook natural/health foods. Self-taught canning fanatic after my first HUGE garden. I work at a high school and stay at home with my two boys during the summers. Have a blended family with a 19 year old daughter and a 15 year old step daughter (along with my 10 & 15 year old boys)
My favorite things to cook
Anything my husband & boys deem a "do-over" :) Also, pasta/ vegie combos with fattening sauces, egg rolls, fun & different pizzas, mexican food, salsas.

Baking cookies with my kids and nieces & nephews during the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Making two rather gourmet quiches at Easter when I was 15 years old and my Grandma was visiting. Winning blue ribbons at our county fair for my jam & relish entries.
My cooking tragedies
A recipe for "Health Bars" that I attempted as a teen that took about 3 hours to bake and they were horrible. All the ingredients were good but the combo was a disaster!
