About this Cook
One of my biggest joys in life is cooking for my friends and family. I truly believe that feeding someone is one of the most powerful ways to show them you love them! Oh yeah-and I'd rather die than cook without my Kitchen Aid stand mixer!!!
My favorite things to cook
anything in a slow cooker! I also love to do fun cupcakes and anything in Paula Deen's cookbooks.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother's homemade butterscotch pie, caramel corn, and cream cheese cookies. Every year she made all these goodies and brought them to her friends & family. She passed away so I have taken over the tradition, and I find just as much joy in it as she did.
My cooking triumphs
Pulling together a large, spectacular meal for my husband's family!!!
My cooking tragedies
cream puffs.....or cream pucks, as my dad called them...

Broccoli Cheese Soup V
This recipe was so quick and easy! I made it on a snowy day and it was so warm and filling. I did have to mix flour and water as a thickener and add about a cup of that to the finished soup to make it thicker (I like it better that way). It worked, so if you like thicker soup, try that!
