Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
These taste great and even after freezing, they are still excellent. I don't make these nearly as often I should - could eat them just as they are!

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
After 24 hours soaking in this brine, the turkey meat literally was falling off the bone. Our turkey was super moist and so good! We'll definitely be using this recipe again and again.

Ricardo's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
I don't think I will ever try any other pizza crust for my bread machine...this one is perfect. The crust comes out so good every time and just has the perfect amount of flavor.

Plum Clafouti

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
SO simple & really yummy. We needed to use up some plums that a neighbor gave us and I made 3 "pies" like this...fantastic! I could have eaten an entire pie in 1 sitting...with or without ice cream this stuff is so good. And the fact that it only takes a few minutes to prep is great. Really does taste like bread pudding which is a big plus!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
SO GOOD! I think we are going to be eating at least one loaf of this a week for the entire zucchini growing season! And I freeze tons of grated zucchini (2 cup portions) when it's no longer in season. My husband takes a few slices to work every day for breakfast and we snack on it all the time otherwise. My 8 month old eats it even when she refuses everything else.

Indian Chicken Curry II

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
This turned out quite poorly. The curry ended up very grainy and the cinnamon was overpowering. We'll try another recipe next time.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
Used cooking chocolate ground with a blender instead of chips (because they are impossible to find in Germany) & dropped the nuts. These muffins were a huge hit at my husband's birthday! We froze the leftovers and they are just as good if not better now. Moist & soft still...will definitely make these again! A chocolate lover's dream

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
Very, very tasty. We made it with penne which we had left over from another meal and it was SO good. Very spicy & full of flavor. I used powdered ground ginger because I didn't have time to go buy any fresh root but it was still great. We'll definitely make this again!

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
This was really tasty, especially with a mustard curry sauce we made. I was hoping for another style of chicken & rice (a bit more Cuban) but this Mexican style dish was fantastic as well. Would be great with fajitas or a big Mexican feast.

Bottom Round Roast with Onion Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
I used most of the suggestions of MBROOKER and added additional salt & pepper to everything before cooking. Used a Spanish red wine which the onions picked up very well. The roast itself was terribly dry so thank goodness for the sauce. Perhaps in a crockpot it holds some moisture but not in a regular pot. A decent basis recipe but definitely needs some tweaking.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
This sandwich is so easy and so tasty. We lived in Miami for a few years and got really used to having media noche whenever we wanted. Now that we're in Germany, we've been missing it and were really happy to find this recipe. We eat it all the time and it's a great quick lunch.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
My husband really loved this guacamole and he doesn't even like the stuff. He wolfed down at least half the bowl himself. I will definitely be making this recipe again when I can find avocados that don't cost a fortune here in Germany...

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
The flavor of this bread just didn't work for me. It rose well and everything else, just didn't find it very tasty.

Red Pepper-Salmon Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
I was actually quite surprised how good this tasted in the end. I was a bit skeptical about the red pepper sauce but it perfectly compliments the salmon.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
Either I needed the apple chunks smaller or should have boiled them longer. The taste was still quite good though I did add some sugar at the end....and extra water to allow everything to boil longer since I wasn't using quick oats. I'll definitely try this again and it's a great quick breakfast meal!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
These things are sinfully good! Incredibly how much they expand (I left them out overnight which was so much easier in the am to just pop them in the oven and mix up the icing) and will definitely make them again. Quite simple overall and definitely worth the effort. I might try a few raisins and walnuts in the rolls next time too!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
Six thumbs up from my husband, a friend and myself. Might go with a bit more onion next time...only used 1/4 c sugar with Miracle Whip and switched 1/4 tsp celery salt for salt & poppy seeds. Will definitely make this again because I know I'll be begged to do it...but making it the night before makes it SO good and it's quite easy.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
I'm not a big fan of Italian sausage so I substituted sirloin chunks instead; otherwise I followed the recipe pretty exactly. Definitely some of the best chili I've ever eaten - and I'm from Texas where that means a lot! ;-) We froze a bunch of it for the future and I'm sure it will get a bit hotter along the way, but we're definitely looking forward to the next time we eat it! We'll absolutely make it again.

Very tasty and quite simple. They even warmed up well a few days later while we were eating through our leftovers. I will definitely make these again. Thanks!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
Absolutely fantastic flavor and really easy to make. I made an Oreo cookie crust for it and it was SO good. You just need 15 cookies and 2 TBL of butter, mash it together or use a blender, then press it into the pan and about 1/4 inch up the sides of the pan. I will definitely be making this cheesecake again!!
