Honey Vanilla Ice Cream

Delicious recipe! I did decrease the sugar a bit out of personal preference. Next time I will also use the re-sizer since my ice cream maker only does a quart at a time.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

These turned out perfect. I used them for a Halloween cookie-decorating craft at my son's preschool and everyone thought I got them from a bakery! Keep the dough on the thick side and you'll get nice cakey cookies that don't brown on the edges.

Best Brownies

Love this recipe! I don't bother with the frosting - they don't need it! I like using Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder. It makes them extra dark and rich.

Grilled Turkey Legs

We never have soda around the house so I just use a mixture of water, lemon juice, and some extra sugar to replace it. Turns out perfect every time!

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

This was an awesome base recipe; however, since I was trying to replicate some almonds that I bought from a street vendor, I ended up making modifications for my second batch. Please try it this way - you won't regret it!!! I reduced the nuts to 2 cups (you could also just double the coating ingredients...) for a heavier coating. I replaced the white sugar with dark brown sugar, increased the cinnamon to 2 tsp, and decreased the salt to 1/8 tsp. Make sure you let the nuts cool off most of the way before eating so the coating can harden, otherwise they will seem chewy.

Spiced Beef Stew

This stew was so rich and delicious! The grocery store was out of beef broth, so I used a can of french onion soup in its place and omitted the sugar. I also used a dark beer, which added a ton of flavor.

Raisin Honey Chews

Excellent texture, very moist and chewy. I love honey - however, I thought they were overly sweet without having much flavor. Maybe the addition of cinnamon would have helped.
