Creamy Caramel Flan

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
i followed this recipe and had no problems. my carmel sugar did harden quickly but after thinking about i realized it was going to melt in the heat of the oven and should be fine. (i did end up greasing the sides of the pan that didn't carmel with butter to make sure it wouldn't stick.) i had no problems getting it out either.

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
these are delish! i subsitute the peanut butter for sunbutter (we have a peanut allergy in the house), use honey in place of corn syrup. i add golden raisins, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds and ground flaxseed. i have made these twice already and don't plan on stopping! oh, the first time i made them like others suggested, i made more of the syrup mix (1 & 1/2 batches) they were great. the 2nd time i made them i didn't make extra and they didn't turn out so good...they were crumbly and didn't hold up well.

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
These are yummy! they just came out of the oven and i have already 2 1/2 but no fear i made them as healhty i could by doing the following...I used mostly whole wheat flour instead of all white; applesauce instead of oil; honey instead of sugar; 2 egg whites instead of whole egg; 2% milk; and threw in about a 1/3 cup of flaxseed meal. Thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper!

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
i have made this bread twice this week and it's only wednesday! it turns out so wonderful. the dough is so soft. the only change i made was the yeast. i didn't have bread machine yeast so i just used 2 1/4 teas of dry active yeast (which equals 1 packet). worked great!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
this was my first time making rice pudding and it was yummy! i actually used brown rice...made me feel better about wanting to eat all of it! i had to add a bit of cornstrach (that mixed with a bit of water) at the end because it wasn't really getting thick and creamy and i think it was because i used the brown rice instead of white. anyway...it was yummy. i sprinkled some nutmeg on top and will be making again!
