Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
I give this 10 stars! This is one of the best salads I have ever eaten. I was told I could make this anytime I wanted to and I certainly will. I didn't change a thing and it was perfect. Thank you, Thank you!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
I have found paradise and this is it! Loved the pizza. Since I am all about bleu cheese, I added some bleu cheese crumbles on top of the dressing. Next time, I will add more hot sauce. The amount listed in the recipe was not quite enough for me. Very good, thanks for sharing!

Flowering Vidalia Onion

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2008
Wonderful! I did need more oil to fry the onion in than the recipe called for, but I may have just had a really big onion. It looked lovely. I left the room to get my camera, came back and the guys had eaten half of it. So, sorry, I can't post a picture. I will definitely make again. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2008
Just made these this afternoon. Delicious! They are soft and a little sweet. We have enjoyed them already! I will cut down on the flour and sugar next time. There was too much flour and I had to add almost 1/2 c more water. Although I liked the sweet taste and cinnamon & sugar would be great on these, I am a mustard on my pretzels kinda' person. Therefore, I would cut the sugar in half. Will definitely make again! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
Fabulous! I made two changes. We are not big on Port, so opening a bottle for just two of us was not an option. I substituted Merlot and it tasted great. Also, I did not use the bread crumbs. I add a tbsp of butter to the bleu cheese to hold it together. We will eat this again and again!

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
These were an absolute hit! I admit, I did not follow the recipe exactly. I happened to have 4 oz. of cream cheese that I needed to use. So I added that to the cheese layer between the potatoes. I also added onions. Everything else was as written. Great! It is a keeper and we will make it again. Thanks.

Homemade Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
The recipe was very easy to make. There was no way I could knead in 3/4 C of flour. Even after cutting back on the flour, I thought the bread was dry. I probably would not make again as written. Also, it really needed more rosemary. The salt idea is one I would try, too.

Cream Cheese Pickles

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
I use a variation of this recipe. Instead of the sliced beef, I use dried beef from the deli, not the processed stuff in the lunchmeat department. Also, it is much easier to spread the cream cheese on the meat and then wrap it around the pickle. You can also use the soft cream cheese in a tub instead of the packaged cream cheese, just don't used the whipped cream cheese.

Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
This is a perfect recipe for holidays when you are trying to carve the turkey, make gravy and get everything on the table at the same time. I have made it without the garlic, especially if we are having gravy. You do need to keep an eye on the liquid level. It can evaporate too quickly and leave you with scorched potatoes. I also use one clove of fresh garlic instead of the garlic powder.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
The marinade smelled great, the aroma from the grill was mouth watering, but we did not like the kabobs. Very bland even with added onions and peppers. Will not make this again.

Tropical Lime Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
Oh, my! This was a huge hit at my house. I love to bake, but am not much of a sweet eater. Let's put it this way, I ate way more than one piece of cake! It is so easy to make and it isn't super sweet. I used key lime juice instead of fresh lime juice. Loved it!

Italian Cream Cheese Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
I definitely needed to cut the Italian seasoning in half. I added more parmesan and then topped it with the last little bit of mozzarella I had. I still dipped them in marinara sauce. Not on my list to make again.

Parmesan Puffs

Wow! What a great appetizer. In less than half an hour, they were on our plates and being eaten. Very simple to make and even the kids (and adults) with the picky appetites loved them. We will definitely make them again, soon!

Different Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
Very good. Quick and easy for a last minute meal. I decided to make it a one dish meal. Instead of eight chicken breast halves, I used four. After the cheese layer, I topped it with a lb. of fresh asparagus cut into bite sized pieces. Then, I put on the sauce. As my chicken breast halves were rather large, I did cook it 50 mins. It came out perfect and was a huge success.

Artichoke Chicken

This was a huge hit at our house. It is simple to make, uses few ingredients (which are always on hand) and is on the table in 40 minutes. I have shared this recipe with several others and they have all enjoyed it.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

We enjoyed this immensely. Very easy to make. Definitely need to double the sauce. I served with wild rice pilaf and, if desired, spooned the extra sauce over it. Would recommend it highly.

GA Peach Pound Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2006
We enjoyed this recipe, but it seemed to be missing a topping. Our favorite was a peach/raspberry sauce. I made it using 2 cups fresh peaches, 2 cups frozen raspberries, 1/2 tbsp cornstarch and 1/2 tsp Splenda. Just cook it until thick and put over the pound cake.
