This was my first attempt at making rice pudding. I was looking for a cheap dessert and I have to say that it was AMAZING. I made it with long grain brown rice, half reconstituted nonfat powdered milk and half skim milk, and I used regular raisins. After reading the reviews, I was afraid with all of the changes, especially the long grain brown rice, that it wasn't going to turn out right but boy was I wrong! It took longer than the 15-20 minutes to thicken up, but I wasn't surprised with the brown rice. I mixed in a little cinnamon with the vanilla and butter and WOW. So good I was licking the spoon!
