Chocolate Chip Banana Bread II

Very delicious very tasty very moist will make again, I used butter instead of shortening. Next time I will divide the batter between 3 pans; my 2 loaves raised way above the top of the pan. I will use 2 9x5 and 1 smaller pan!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

This was OK. I didn’t have cream of potato soup so I used cream of mushroom. With all the cheese I had grease on top of my dish which I didn’t like! I didn’t grease my dish! So it was from all the cheeses. I don’t think I will make this again, I have similar recipes that I like better.

S'more Brownies

Fabulous!!!! I used crushed graham crackers 1 package and ½ stick of melted butter mix the two together and chocolate chips! Layered the chips, marshmallows, and crumbs! The next time I make this I will bake the brownies until they are done, and broil the topping to brown! The way I did it today the brownie fell and therefore tough! Very rich! I recommend small bites!

Original Homemade Italian Beef

My family has been making this for 40 years. We use bottled Italian dressing now so we cut out the dry and water. It’s fantastic! And so easy!

Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast

Great recipe reminded me of my childhood…I made a few changes I used herbed butter and sliced corned beef that I diced up! Very tasty and will make again! Thanks for the basic recipe!

Mound Bars

I will never make this again…I followed the recipe and you can’t spread the coconut concoction you have to use small spoonfuls and line them up because when you bake it, it evens out! My crust tasted burnt! They are not worth the trouble!

Strawberry Cobbler I

The only reason I rated this was the strawberries have a great favor…They were very, very, VERY juicy and I added a little tapioca and didn’t do anything…The cobbler was done on top but where it met the strawberries it was raw, thank God there were no eggs in it! I think it would make a great topping for ice cream, but that’s all it would be good for! Forget the cobbler part! I did everything like the recipes said except for the tapiaco!

Bill's Sausage Gravy

This was wonderful...I used 1 cup of ½ & ½ and 1 cup milk and I thought the consistency was perfect...I think 3 cups of liquid would make it to runny...I used ¼ cup of gravy per biscuit half...This is a definite keeper!

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

I made these for Easter and everyone loved them…I made things easier for myself I bought simply potatoes with onions and used them, and I mixed the cheese, I had a partial bag of Swiss and sharp cheddar cheese and used both. Will make again. I love any recipe for a slow cooker just so easy!

Oven Omelet

Easy omelet...I did cut it in half and it was enough for 3 people along with fruit and cinnamon rolls...We had it for dinner...so I added mushrooms and broccoli and used Swiss cheese which is our favorite cheese for dishes like this! This is a keeper!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

This was good but I thought it was a little dry. If I make it again I will add a little cream and a couple of more eggs for a more custard type dish or less potatoes! I made it for dinner and served homemade applesauce and a pumpkin coffeecake. My family likes breakfast for dinner, morning are to busy for big breakfasts! Thanks for the recipe!

Spiced Slow Cooker Applesauce

I enjoyed this very much, it reminds me of apple pie without the crust, I didn’t use as much sugar, I think it will depend on the apples and I had a mixture some sweet and tart, and I don’t like thing real sweet! And it makes the house smell good! I had a little fresh squeezed orange juice so I added water to make ½ cup and it was fine!

Pumpkin Bread Puddin'

I gave it a 4 because I made some changes, first I thought it was delish, and a welcome change from pie! I used 3 whole eggs, 1 can of evaporated milk, 1 can of pumpkin, and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and butterscotch chips. I baked it in a casserole dish, so I had to bake longer about 1 hour! I will make again Thanks!

Blueberry Crumb Bars

I love blueberries so anything made with them is wonderful as far as I’m concerned! I didn’t change a thing, but next time I’m going to use 1 ½ cups flour 1 ½ cups oatmeal. This would make it more of a crumb topping and the base wouldn’t be so dense! It’s a keeper.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

This was a great twist on BBQ. The only thing I changed was is used pork chops! And they were delicious! This is a keeper! I think it would be a great sauce for shredded chicken or pork for sandwiches! Thanks!!!

Creamy Green Beans Parmesan

I like my fresh green beans cooked with butter, onion, salt & pepper and some garlic! So I substituted frozen lime beans, they were delicious!!! I find lime beans dry and with this creamy sauce it made all the difference in the world. I added a small clove of minced garlic and I always use fresh nutmeg that I grated not to much b/c fresh nutmeg is a lot stronger just a couple of swipes on the grater, I actually enjoyed them. I gave the recipe 4 stars b/c I changed it, but it really is a 5…Will make this again with limas.

Wake-Up Casserole

This was very good, a great dish for a holiday when you have overnight guests. The only change I made was I cut the recipe in half. Will keep and make again! Everything you need in one dish, add fruit and a muffin for a great breakfast and easy!!!

Monkey Peanut Butter Bars

I was disappointed, I love peanut butter anything, and I thought the chocolate overpowered the peanut butter flavor! I followed the recipe too a tee, my base was dry. I will try another recipe for peanut butter bars next time!
