World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2006
Incredible! You won't have any leftovers. I used red wine (merlot) in place of the water. I will make this again and again, it has replaced my mom's lasagna recipe!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
Really excellent. My husband, being a Purdue alum, was really intrigued when I told him the name :) This is the only way we eat beef chili now. It is so worth the extra effort. Allow it to simmer for several hours, per instructions. It really allows the flavors to combine.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Wonderful - I love throwing this in the crock pot in the morning. When we get home from work the house smells so good - it's hard to wait to eat dinner. Thanks for a great recipe!

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
LOVE. I made this recipe and also made the sauce from the "Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala sauce" and this tasted like a meal I'd pay top dollar for in a restaurant. I did rub the tenderloin with olive oil and then coat it with the bread crumbs. I also browned it in a little bit of butter. I will use this recipe again and again.

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
This was so, so good. I cooked the pork tenderloin using the cooking method and bread crumbs from "Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin" and made the sauce in the same pan where I browned the meat. I added a clove of minced garlic because we are garlic lovers but otherwise made the Dijon Marsala sauce as stated in the recipe. I used a dry Marsala wine. This entire recipe took me about 20 minutes of prep time and time checking on it while cooking but tasted like I spent hours on it. This is a keeper!

Cheese Fondue

This is wonderful. My husband and I make it frequently when we don't want to spend a lot going out to our favorite fondue restaurant. Thanks for a great recipe!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2009
So delicious! The ingredients sound kind of strange but it works. My 2 year old nephew kept asking for more and we have the worst time getting him to eat chicken (or any kind of healthy protein). This one is a winner!

Mexican Black Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
These are delicious! I make them exactly as stated and top them with a little bit of reduced fat sour cream and about 2 tsp of shredded cheese. They are a great side item for any type of Mexican dish. I make these over and over.

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
This is wonderful, I really wasn't expecting to love it so much. As suggested by others I used 50% half and half and 50% milk (skim). I pan fried about 6 slices of bacon and used the fat to cook the vegetables. I used 1/2 carrots and 1/2 celery. Instead of Mexican Velveeta (yuck) I used a Mexican blend cheese and added a few dashes of hot sauce. This is amazing paired with beer bread on a cold day.

Turkey Breast with Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
Crazy good! I thought my husband was going to lick his plate to finish off the last drops of gravy. He asked me to roast a turkey breast last night and all of the turkey breasts at the store were frozen solid. So, I used a 5 lb whole fryer chicken. I cut the rub in half due to the small chicken. I rubbed the chicken with a little bit of olive oil prior to adding the rub and I did put a slit over each side of the breast and put a pat of butter inside. I used a can of chicken broth instead of water and bouillon although I don't think that makes any big difference. Finally, I thickened the gravy with 2 TB of flour whisked into a cup of milk. Don't mess with the herbs/spices - they are perfect!! I can't wait to try this with turkey and I can tell you that this will be on my table come Thanksgiving!!

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
Really, really, really good! I did use half mayo and half sour cream and I used the light variety of each. I baked it in a dish instead of a bread bowl but would love to try the bread bowl next time. Delicious!!

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
These are fabulous!! My picky husband requested them for our Christmas Eve meal, in place of my ham which he really loves. They had a great hint of spice/heat that really made them delicious. I only made 1.5 lbs of ribs but still made the same amount of sauce and was glad that I did. We'll make these again and again.
