Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
Awesome! Thank you for a perfect, easy to make soup. What a great meal on a cool, fall day. Update: My son is home for Christmas and asked me to make this for him while he was home. This has become his very favorite meal. Over the months I have been making this I've realized that mine is too thick so I add an extra cup or two of either cream or milk. Perfect name for a perfect soup! Thanks!

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
When I saw this recipe had so many 5 star ratings by so many people I just had to try it. Boy, am I glad I did! This is just perfect the way it is. I have a friend who complains about every recipe - how she could make it better. She asked me for this recipe and told me it was the best she ever had. THANKS!!!!

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
Oh my goodness! This was absolutely wonderful. Don't change a thing. My only advise is to watch your garlic - 45 minutes was a bit too long. Start watching after 30 minutes. ENJOY

Strawberry Preserves I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Wonderful recipe! I've used it for 30 years except I use 5 teaspoons of lemon juice rather than vinegar. For those of you who are having trouble getting your preserves to set - try a larger pot. If you aren't boiling your preserves "hard" enough they will not set. NEVER double the recipe and use a large pot rather than a pan. The preserves must be a rolling boil so that they reach 220 degrees and don't stir them often. This recipe was given to me 30 years ago by a lady who was 75 and had been given this recipe by her mother. It works, you just have to have patience and learn how to recognize the signs that the preserves are setting. Have fun!
