Chicken and Cheese Crescents

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
My boyfriend loved the dish. I enjoyed it. I think the ingredients have very good potential, but the recipe needs to be seriously modified. I didn't read the previous reviews. If I had, I would have made a few changes. First of all, I would cook the crescent rolls with the chicken and cheese before adding the sauce. I felt the rolls didn't have the opportunity to rise and brown resulting in a doughy taste. Second, I would only use half of the sauce mixture after the crescent rolls have browned. I did use more than one cup of cheese. I feel once I make these modifications to the recipe it will be worth 5 stars.

Bread Pudding

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
This was great. I especially loved the sauce. I used about 5 cups of bread b/c I didn't want mine too soupy. I also cute back on the sugar. Still was sweet enough. Always a hit when I make it!!!!

Almond Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
Good side dish. I have been searching for a rice pilaf that is similar to one I tasted at Applebees and this sure ranks up there. I also added mushrooms and it was excellent.

Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
Good recipe and easy to follow. I used whole wheat linguine pasta for the first time and there was no distinct whole wheat flavor. I used about 3/4 tbsp of cajun seasoning and 3/4 tbsp of Emeril's Bayou Blast, and it was great. I was amazed at the flavor of the sauce w/out cheese. I also added mushrooms to the sauce when it thickened along with the shrimp. I didn't add salt and it didn't seem to need any to me. My boyfriend loved it too!!!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
These are not your average enchiladas. If you prefer the tomato based ones & don't care for creamed soups, this is not the recipe for you. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the recipe. I used whole wheat tortillas and also added fresh mushrooms. I felt the mixture wasn't enough for 6 tortillas & ended up doubling the filling. I didn't have cream of mushroom soup. I used cream of chicken soup, and it was great too. I will add this recipe to my collection.

White Chocolate Cheesecake with White Chocolate Brandy Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
This is the second cheesecake I have made and it was much better than the first. I am a crust person so I made one with graham crackers, butter, & pecans. I halved the sauce & it was absolutely fabulous. This will now be my main cheesecake recipe. And there were no cracks. The presentation was absolutely wonderful!!!

Rich Italian Sausage and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
I really enjoyed this soup. It takes almost like Olive Garden's zuppa toscana soup. I decided to use 3 cans of chicken broth and used about a cup of heavy cream. I also added more potatoes & it was great. I thought the soup had a really good flavor. Nothing lacking for me!!!

Chicken Spaghetti III

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
This was great. I didn't want to stop eating. I tasted this dish a few years ago & always wanted to know how to make it. I used 2 cans of tomatoes & 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. I also used red & yellow bell peppers and fresh mushrooms. I used shredded cheddar & parmesan cheeses. It was still great.
