Dill and Honey Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
Big hit with my husband and 2 year old! I baked it rather than frying. At 350 for 1 hour, flipping them over after 30 minutes. Came out very tender and well seasoned. Definitely a keeper!

Baked Salmon with Herbs

A few too many bread crumbs in ratio to the fish, but tasty. Next time I'll cut the recipe for the coating back even more.

Easy Risotto-Style Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
Simple and tasty - I didn't have broth, so I used chicken bouillon. Great change from the usual plain rice!

Rolled Fondant

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
I never used fondant b/c I hate the taste - but this was okay. It tasted similar to a Necco wafer. Cut out circles and put on a birthday cake - and all the kids at the party wanted more "circle candies"!

Fantastic taste - only wish they had fluffed up a little more. But this is a KEEPER recipe for my family.

Fantastic dessert. Skipped the nuts - wonderful warm, but I liked it cold the next day.

Sausage-Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
This has become a regular on our meal rotations. i use dill seed instead of dill weed, and skimp on the caraway seeds - just not one of my favorite spices. I don't measure the cheese b/c I like a lot of it, so I just cover it really well. Actually, I don't really measure anything - it's such an easy recipe that you can easily tweak it to your liking. Everyone in our family likes it and the leftovers are great, too!

John's Broccoli and Ziti Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2007
This was a great alternative as I needed a side without parmesan cheese with my Italian pork chops (I ran out...). I used leftover spaghetti and added parsley (personal taste) and a couple tablespoons of milk (to help keep from drying out). I think the milk wasn't so necessary as watching the dish. I don't think it needs very much time in the oven. The oven is what dries out the pasta and everything is already cooked, so it's best just to leave it in to melt the cheese rather than wait for it to be brown. Covering with foil might be another option, too. Overall - very good for a quick side!

a bit too ketchup-y. will work on other combinations and keep this in mind, though.

Really loved these - only complaint is that the next day, the cookies were so soft they fell apart.

I use the recipe all the time - it's a great go-to side to add color to a dinner for guests. Super easy and super yummy. I always get compliments on it.
