Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
These are super yummy cookies!! In order to make the jam a bit more easier to work with I put it in a zip lock bag, just like the icing part. And put it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. This made it easier to handle and fill the cookie cups. I also did the same with the confectioners sugar icing part, which I really almost think you don't need because the cookies are sweet enough with the jam. They are good either way though! I did not change the recipe at all although being a novice cooker for this type of cookie, I did put them in the freezer after putting the jam in there and they did not spread at all. They look beautiful and taste super yummy!! thank you for a great recipe!!!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
Very easy to make, it takes more time to unwrap the candies than to bake!!I made these with the dove candies with caramel, they would also be really good with the peanut butter ones. Definitely toast the pecans.... a must!! I made them with un-toasted ones first and regretted it! Toasting the nuts gives them a great flavor! Also I have to agree that the squared pretzels from Schneiders matches perfectly with the dove chocolate selections. ( A tad more salt may be a bit more tasty for some... those who like salts more than sweets like me... the square pretzels aren't so salty!!) Great recipe thank you for sharing!!

Biscotti

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I made the basic recipe tonight and the flavor was great! This would also be good with macadamia nuts.. I will add those in my next batch! You could almost change anything or add anything into the recipe and they would turn out great.. of course keeping to the almond extract. ( I also didn't have anise).

A very yummy versatile drink. You can mix it with almost anything. (That goes with watermelon of course) and is very healthy. I love it!!

Dilly Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I loved this recipe. I ran out of regular dill and only had dill seed and it still worked just as well... the seeds were not chewy or anything in the end result. It is good without the sour cream as well... I also added some tomatoes and was wonderful!! good flavor thank you for the recipe!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
Just FYI these are very caky cookies... they are almost like peanut butter cupcakes with a peanut-butter cup inside them. Either way very good, may try them with a more cookie like cookie to see how they turn out.

Lucy's Mac and Corn

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This recipe has been in my family for years. It is easy, good and very yummy! Make sure that you don't drain the corn otherwise it will turn out chewy. I also don't add butter, never have and I doubt it would be missed from this recipe either! (Considering its the same minus the butter!!)

Salsa Chicken

This is a great recipe that is now in my usual rotations because it is so easy and pretty healthy. I like to add black beans or green chili's for extra flavor.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
I just made this a couple days ago and it was great! Had to adjust the spice because we don't like it too spicy, but still like some kick. Be careful not to add too much water, I think I did it came out a little soupy. So I took a reviewers suggestion and saute'ed it in a pan before making my enchilada's worked out perfectly. Thank you!!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
This is a very tasty chicken!! I had a 5lb chicken that cooked in 3.5 hrs though.. a little faster than I was anticipating. Still yummy though. Also cut the salt in half. I made one batch of the spice and had to throw it away because it was way too salty.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
This is a great recipe, I did follow the reviews though and dredge my chicken in flour and pepper. I also cooked the chicken on high heat to give it that nice crispy-ness, turned it over for a couple minutes then lowered the temp and added the sauce. It worked out great, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was nice and thick. Great recipe thank you for sharing!!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Delicious, didn't change anything. I think they would be just a bit better with bread crumbs on the top.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
I have never made anything like these before, very easy and super delish! I double the recipe and made it with a batch of almonds and peanuts. The pecans were by far the best, but it still gave a nice coating on the peanuts and almonds! Very good!

Ginger Veggie Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
Great recipe and easy to change to your own tastes. I added 4 cloves of garlic (we love garlic!) and used frozen and fresh veggies of what I had on hand with a bit of chicken. Yummmmy! Also cut down the oil, I am sure the veggies are great tossed as mentioned, but trying to cut down on calories. Definitely worth giving a try!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Was a bit sceptical of this at first, but am very glad we tried it!! I'm not a fan of cream of mushroom soup, so was happy to find this recipe. The only thing I may try different next time is adding some of those crunchy onion things!!
