Good stuff!! Gets a little thick and needs more broth, but overall really good soup! Now one of my fall favs.

Creamy Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
Thought that this was pretty tasty, but did swap out the celery soup for cheddar soup (Hubby hates celery). I do think it's missing something, but that could be because of the change I made.

Tarragon Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
I'll admit, while I was cooking this I thought it was going to taste like onions and bread!! We started calling it onion stuffing, the smell of onions was quite overwhelming. But was very pleasantly surprised when it came out of the oven, this was so tasty!! And the taste wasn't too onions, it was a perfect balance. Even my incredibly picky brother in law, who doesn't like stuffing, thought this was pretty tasty!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Was a bit sceptical of this at first, but am very glad we tried it!! I'm not a fan of cream of mushroom soup, so was happy to find this recipe. The only thing I may try different next time is adding some of those crunchy onion things!!

Crispy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2013
This was great! Trying to make it a bit more healthier I ended up cutting out the flour and only using 4 tablespoons of oil. I brushed it on skinless chicken breasts, it wasn't crispy but I wasn't expecting it to be without the skins on. Next time I will cut the oil down more, as it was still a bit oily after it was cooked. Very good mixture though!

Beet, Orange and Apple Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2013
The recipe ended up changing based on what I had on hand, but it truly is excellent! I had some orange beets that I wanted to use up, they didn't have the green's attached, so I used fresh spinach. With the fresh spinach I would have preferred the beet mixture to be cold, but it was good warm non-the less. Instead of raspberry vinegar I used red wine vinegar and just added a splash more sugar, this was delightful! (Even my husband ate his salad!!)

Healthier Baked Pork Chops I

These were very good! The only things I changed was changing the soup from cream of mushroom, which my wife despises,to cream of chicken and doubling the wine(which she loves). It was wonderful and she loved it!

Ginger Veggie Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
Great recipe and easy to change to your own tastes. I added 4 cloves of garlic (we love garlic!) and used frozen and fresh veggies of what I had on hand with a bit of chicken. Yummmmy! Also cut down the oil, I am sure the veggies are great tossed as mentioned, but trying to cut down on calories. Definitely worth giving a try!

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
I have never made anything like these before, very easy and super delish! I double the recipe and made it with a batch of almonds and peanuts. The pecans were by far the best, but it still gave a nice coating on the peanuts and almonds! Very good!

Delicious, didn't change anything. I think they would be just a bit better with bread crumbs on the top.

Barbeque Chicken Pasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
With a few changes this recipe is AWESOME, only reason its getting a four is because of the changes!!! We didn't have any Phyllo dough, so we used croissants. We cooked the chicken, used three small yellow peppers a small red onion and a bottle of sweet baby rays BBQ sauce (very mild... would be great with some heat if desired). Only put the croissants on top, put a layer of cheese below and above the croissants (Made it cheesy but not tooo cheesy) was great! Kind of like a lasagna BBQ chicken pot pie...turned out fabulous! !! Will be making again with these changes. After trying with the croissant.. not to anxious to try with the phyllo dough!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
This is a great recipe, I did follow the reviews though and dredge my chicken in flour and pepper. I also cooked the chicken on high heat to give it that nice crispy-ness, turned it over for a couple minutes then lowered the temp and added the sauce. It worked out great, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was nice and thick. Great recipe thank you for sharing!!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
This is a very tasty chicken!! I had a 5lb chicken that cooked in 3.5 hrs though.. a little faster than I was anticipating. Still yummy though. Also cut the salt in half. I made one batch of the spice and had to throw it away because it was way too salty.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
I just made this a couple days ago and it was great! Had to adjust the spice because we don't like it too spicy, but still like some kick. Be careful not to add too much water, I think I did it came out a little soupy. So I took a reviewers suggestion and saute'ed it in a pan before making my enchilada's worked out perfectly. Thank you!!

This is a great recipe that is now in my usual rotations because it is so easy and pretty healthy. I like to add black beans or green chili's for extra flavor.

Bacon Wrapped Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
This was quite a tasty dish, something a bit more unique for the not so every day dinner! I did add some Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Just sprinkled the garlic powder with fresh crushed pepper sprinkled on the chicken and mixed the cheese with the pesto, very yummy!! I also omitted the salt, I had pre-packaged pesto which was pretty salty. I also did not use the full 1/4 cup of olive oil, because it seemed like a lot, just sprinkled it over the chicken before baking. Not too many changes but they suited my family's tastes, as I am sure the recipe is just fine as written. A great way to use up extra pesto and chicken!!!
