About this Cook
I am a college student currently. At home I have 2 dogs wich are truely my best friends. I also live with my dad, little brother and boyfriend and am always cooking to keep up with the guys' hungry stomaches!
My favorite things to cook
I absolutely love to bake! This last year I've really taken a likeing to baking and decorating cakes, making homemade pies and homemade jams especially from our own home grown fruits! I can never make enough of my strawberry rhubarb jam to keep up with the demand.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite tradition is making a Mocha Torte. It's a very old recipe from my great grandma, and my little brothers favorite cake!
My cooking triumphs
I feel I have many triumphs in cooking, especially since everyone always asks for more! My best so far has to be my strawberry rhubarb jam, the record for someone eating my jam the fastest was one person by themselves ate a half gallon of the jam all to themselves in only one week! I was so surprised. My little brother also fights with me beacuse I give so much of it away!
My cooking tragedies
I can only think of one tragedy, and it happened last week. I was baking a strawberry rhubarb pie and when I was taking it out, my finger got trapped between the grate in the oven and burned pretty bad. With a natural reaction by pulling back, the pie crashed to the floor and the glass pan broke.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip
Amazing and delicious. I use real baked pumpkin in my recipe (2 c. pureed) and used light whipped topping and no one could taste the difference!

Raspberry Cream Gelatin
First of all, great recipe! My dad and boyfriend couldn't stop eating it! I did a few changes though. First, I made a mixed berry flavored gelatin by using a blackberry fusion jello, doubled the recipe, and one 16 oz bag of mixed berries consisiting of blackberries, blueberries, and raspberrys. One thing I did was I put the condensed milk in right away when I made up the jello, and about an hour and a half it was the perfect consistency to add the fruit, mixed in well, and an hour later, it was ready!
