Classic Fish and Chips

The batter was a little too runny and delicate for frying. I added 1/3 cup more of flour to make it thicker. Also, I think you can get away with only half the amount of salt. In fact, we found it too salty with the listed amount of salt. Lastly, a quarter cup of oil to fry with is not enough. You have to have more so the fillets can float a little bit and not get ruined at turning.

Giblet Gravy I

First time I had to make giblet gravy. I had to add more corn starch than the recipe called for since my family is used to thicker gravy. And the chopped egg whites weirded out some of my family so I think I'll just use the yolks next time. Came out really flavorful though, and will use it again.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Awesome Tangerine-Glazed Turkey

Used this recipe for our very first Christmas turkey dinner (we're newlyweds). My mother-in-law was impressed. The directions, as written, are not that easy to understand though.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Thanks for sharing this recipe. My husband, a big apple pie fan, can't get over it! We could only fit 5-6 apples, though. We also added a teaspoon of cinammon to the syrup and it went very well.

Best Ever Meatloaf I

We love a lot of seasoning in our food, and I found that doubling the amount of salt and pepper, and adding half a teaspoon of italian herbs enhanced this recipe.
