Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
This chili was very good. I followed everything except the amount of the chili powder. I only added 1 tablespoon of the chili powder and it still had a kick to it! It was very tasty though. I would make this again in a heartbeat!! Very quick and easy.

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This recipe was very good. I did not use white sugar, but drizzled agave nectar on my layers along with brown sugar, and the rest of the ingredients. I had two layers of potatoes and put the ingredients on each layer. I sort of judged the amounts. I also put this in the oven for about 40 minutes and it turned out great!

Caribbean Jerk Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
I took some of the advice from the other reviews and cut back on the cinnamon and added more cayenne. The chops had a pretty good flavor and were moist but I am looking for something with more jerk flavor to it. I cooked on my Foreman grill. Not sure if I will make again.

Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
This was my first time making banana bread and my husband and I thought this came out great! I did half brown sugar and half white sugar, with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla as others have suggested! I only used three bananas, but I think next time I will use four if I have them on hand. I only cooked the bread for about 40 minutes and it was browned and very moist on the inside. Any longer of a cook time would have been too much in my oven. I will be making this recipe again.

This was so quick, easy and delicious! I made this recipe without adding anything and my husband couldn't believe it didn't have any cheese in it and he loved it. Next time, I will try a few of the suggestions.

Shrimp Etouffee II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
This recipe was excellent! I tried it with crawfish instead of the shrimp and it was great! I also cooked this on top of the stove. I did not have any parsley, but I added a little cooking white wine like other people said. I also did not have any celery, but used some celery seed. This one is a keeper. Will try with the shrimp the next time.
