My recipe is similar, 2 - 8oz pkg cream cheese, 16 - oz sour cream, 1 pkg taco seasoning, 1 bottle ortega taco sauce (can sub. salsa or picante sauce, 1 - 1-1/2c. Mix and spread in cake pan or on large platter. Top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and green, red, yellow, and orange peppers, black olives, jalapenos, and shredded cheese.

Beer Margaritas

Most requested drink. Make with Jose Silver Tequila, Bud-Light Lime, Squirt instead of water. Tinted them green for St Patricks Day. Have also substituted Smirnoff Ice for the beer and Ruby Red Squirt for the soda/water. Combinations are endless!

Cream Cheese Squares

Love these. I sometimes use 1/2 brown sugar. Ends up with a sort of caramel flavor. I brush the butter over the top (don't use the whole 1/2 c) and I tend to use more cinnamon. I also sprinkle a little cinnamon over the bottom crust b/4 I pour the cream cheese mixture over.

Scalloped Corn

I make this recipe, omitting the sugar, doubling everything but the butter (don't drain the corn), adding some grated or diced onion, and putting in the crockpot on high for abt 4 hrs. Stir it a couple of times. Time will depend on the crockpot that you have because some definitely cook hotter than others. I am not a big fan of this but my kids love it and always request it for holiday get-togethers. Using the crockpot leaves oven space for other things.

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Leftovers (if there are any) are great as a grilled sandwich. Just spread on your favorite bread and grill as you would a grilled cheese sandwich.

Slow-Cooked, Texas-Style Beef Brisket

I am curious to know if the people who complained abt burned meat adjusted the cook time. The recipe calculator reminds you that the directions remain for the original recipe, it only calculates the amt of the ingredients. Obviously you are probably not going to cook significantly smaller amts of meat for the same time.
