Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
In my opinion, Hamburger Helper's got nuttin on this recipe. I used half the suggested noodles(all I had), added a cup of frozen mixed veggies, and topped with crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter. I also used real mild cheddar cheese. Turned out excellent, great flavor! Had to work in the evening, so made in the morning for hubby and kids, as was disappointed to come home and find NONE left. Thanks for what will be a regular recipe in my home!

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
Very good. Used some chicken broth, and pureed some of the beans to make the broth thicker. My son, the picky eater, ate all of his. Thanks for the recipe, much better than canned soup.

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
Not bad at all. Definitely comfort food. Added onion and garlic powder and a little seasoning salt and ate it on top of macaroni as I had no egg noodles. Kids loved it. Thanks.

Roasted New Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
Excellent. My husband bought two bags of red skinned potatos and then had no idea what to do with them. We tossed them in butter and also sprinkled garlic powder and Italian seasonings on them. Thanks for the recipe.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2006
This soup is excellent! I was tired of paying for cans of mediocre pea soup, so this will be a staple for me. Used smoked ham hocks, and was more MMM MMM good than Campbells. Thanks!

This meatloaf was pretty good. I topped it with brown sugar bbq sauce, and the family loved it. Even have leftovers for sandwiches. Thanks!

Macaroni and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2006
This recipe was pretty good. I used canned tomatoes, and used shredded cheese. It was a little dry, but very tasty. My husband loved it, and he normally doesn't like tomatoes.

Steak and Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2006
This salad was really good. A nice change from meat and potatos. Even my kids liked the salad. Used Lite Raspberry Vinaigrette with the kids, Balsamic Vinaigrette for the adults. Delicious.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
This recipe was utterly fantastic! I made chicken strips instead of wings because that is what I had, and my husband and I loved them! My dad thinks he makes the best wings, but I can't wait to prove to him that I know an even better recipe. Thanks so much!

Golden Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2006
Trust me, this recipe is good, but with the changes I made, it was great! I cut 4 chicken breasts into strips, topped it with a box of cornbread stuffing, and then poured a mixture of butter melted with 2 chicken buillion cubes and chopped onion on top. Baked for 45 minutes until chicken was juicy and stuffing had a little crunch. My hubby and two kids ate it ALL and my son said I was the "greatest mommy in the world" for making such good chicken. Definitely will make again.

Jiffy Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2006
Taste was very good. Needed several changes however. 2 cans of soup instead of one, one onion instead of two, canned green beans were an excellent addition, and I will definitely use frozen hash brown potatos next time instead of cubed as they did not fully cook through. Great base recipe though, and will make again as my family loved it.

Chicken with Bouillon

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
Absolutely loved this. So EASY and CHEAP. Do watch the bouillon as it could get very salty, and the onions was a nice touch and suggestion. Hubby and kiddos loved it. Will definitely be a quick and easy lunch staple.
