Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2015
Best slow cooker pot roast I've ever made! Followed the recipe to a tee, except used a 3 lb cross rib roast...kept all the other ingredients the same amount. Searing the meat is essential to this recipe, as is using fresh, not dry rosemary and thyme. The mushroom gravy is very flavorful. I have a smaller oval shaped crock pot and the 3 lb roast was perfect. Cooked on Low for 3 hours and High for 3 hours and the meat was tender and fall apart delicious. Served it over rice pilaf and everyone loved it!

Blueberry 'S' Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2014
Love the crunchy crust! I used fresh blueberries, and sprinkled them with 2 Tbsp sugar and 1 Tbsp of flour. Otherwise, made it exactly like the recipe and put it in a 7.5 x 11 glass dish and baked it for an extra 10 minutes to make sure the bottom crust was done. Turned out fabulous...will definitely make again!

Home Made Top Tarts!

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
I made these for a Sunday brunch, and they were super easy, quick, and absolutely delicious - way better than Pop Tarts! I used blackberry jam as I didn't have strawberry, and decorated with store bought frosting as I didn't have confec. sugar on hand. Sprinkled with colored sugar, they were a huge hit! Thanks Kellweeeeezy!

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2010
Made this exactly as written, and the bread turned out wonderfully! Was so easy to do, and more fun than baking in the bread machine.

Ranch Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
I made these as meatballs instead of burgers, with several changes: Used 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs instead of saltines (don't buy them), and two packages of ranch dressing mix. Cooked meatballs in the oven, drained fat, combined with jarred spaghetti sauce, and served over pasta with salad and french bread. Very good! Update: I've used this meat mixture for hamburgers, meatballs, and even meatloaf, always using the ranch dressing mix and seasoned bread crumbs. The meat mixture is delicious, and despite the rude comment from "Flo", I still rate the recipe 5 stars because the flavor of the meat mixture is excellent!

Cowboy Cookies (Dunkin' Platters)

Yummy! I made these yesterday, and they were delicious. They come out flat, chewy, and great for dunking! They also freeze well.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
This was the most awesome carrot cake I've ever made! Everyone loved it, so tender and moist...the frosting is to die for. Didn't use nuts (allergic), made with increased cinnamon and vanilla, per other suggestions. Scrumptious!

Eggy Veggie Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This was very tasty, and was made on the spur of the moment this morning. I had some leftover veggies (fresh and frozen)that I tossed together, along with 1 tsp of basil pesto. Didn't use the lemon juice, and just a quick dash of wor. sauce. Perfect for a no-meat breakfast!

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
This was awesome! Very flavorful and tender, served it with homemade cole slaw, baked beans, honey cornbread, and sliced cantaloupe - Put it together really fast in the a.m., and it was ready to go after 8 hours on low. Wouldn't change a thing, and will definitely be making this again - everyone in my family loved it!
